Again i will say he introduced SISU to the club. Ask arsenal, Villa and liverpool about being owned by americans.

Removed. Old Joe deserves some credit for trying to keep us afloat. Pity SISU are a bunch of crooks.

I think we would be ideal for an American buyer. With a relatively small investment & the potential in the club - return could be quite handsome BUT they will need to get their hands on that stadium, or at least half of it!!!

No amount of investment would be worth enduring his decorating touch.

I know but seems there are no positive news coming out the club ATM I am making my own up.. Trump will buy the club, Pigs will fly over the Ricoh, ACL will chase SISU out of Coventry out of the City while sadisticly chanting "Bellies gonna get ya"

He would probably feed us a load of bull shit, get us relegated another division. Alienate us as fans turns us against each other and eventually nearly bring our club to an end wait a minute.......

I suppose Elliot at least then won't have the most ridiculous hair do on the board.

Amusing people crave for a fresh start then start salivating when the same old faces get resurrected.

Elliott is a good guy. He didn't have a crystal ball when SISU came along. He also didn't have an alternative.

I like the way we can discount all Americans, but what's the nationality of those investors who have shaped the fortunes of our club for the last five years? Anyone got a clue?

You can never win sometimes my friend, I personally never really liked Joe Elliot or Gary Hoffman, doesn't mean I won't respect them if they find new investment for the Football Club.

Haha True, where's Gael when you need him?

#ACL lawyers tell me they believe #CCFC insolvent on cash flow & balance sheet basis, & only 1 required for administration

The idea that all Americans would somehow operate in the exact same way is of course nonsense.

Out of interest can anyone think of a English club with American owners that would be considered a success? Even those with success on the pitch don't seem to have particularly happy fans.

Liverpool's evil Americans gave way to good Americans didn't they? The current mob seem to be rebuilding.

Retiring chairman Joe Elliott admitted he was delighted to welcome hedge fund Sisu Capital and Ranson to the club.

"This is a very exciting day in the long, proud history of Coventry City Football Club and I am positive that will be reflected in the attendance for Saturday's game against Southampton," said Elliott.

"I am sure that Ray Ranson and Sisu Capital will help drive Coventry City forward into a brand new era for the club.

I wonder if we'll be reading exactly the same statement from Joe in a few weeks but just with different names.

Yes I can see a perma tanned Joe, glowing like radiation in the photo welcoming our new owner Dwight D Spieglewacker the Third, or something similar, to the club.

He will then go on to say this a bright new dawn for the newly rebranded, Sky Blue Coventry Raiders and Pirates , or Sky Blue Crap, in its shortened form.

Over the years, with various boards, Elliott has either colluded with or been deluded by all of them.

Neither one of which make him suitable to be associated with the club again, apart from being a Cov fan of course, which seems to forgive anybody anything.

"That Yorkshire Ripper bloke, what an evil bastard eh?"

"He's President of the Bradford Branch of the Coventry City Supporters Club, life-long fan"

"Oh right, good lad then, bunch of slags deserved it anyway, PUSB"
