i think the major disappointing element on this campaign is learning less and less about the value of each parties manifestos but its more about mud slinging and who can make each other look bad. i do not trust millipede and his cronies, he still cannot admit to his party ballsing it up the last time.

Equally disappointed by Lib dems, no ambition and just geared themselves up to support the winning party. This tactic has probably lost themselves alot of votes that they worked so hard to win the last time.

I think you're right. All the parties are guilty of telling us what everyone else is going to do and not what they're going to do themselves. Which is a strange way of winning votes in my book.

I don't buy this economics bollox. There was a global recession and Browns actions led the western world in supporting the banks and enabling the status quo

It wasn't a straight forward recession either though was it ? The investment side of huge banking corporations gambled huge stakes on piss poor trades and US mortgages, crippling their own companies. The governments bailed the cretins out to retain some sort of stability and the recession came from the cuts that quickly followed in public spending round the world. Problem for us is that Labour at the same time were happily spending all reserves on anything and everything meaning that we were doubly affected in the UK when it all went tits up.

I think it is possible there will be no coalition of any flavour without the first past the post system being replaced by some form of PR.

Which suits the junior coalition parties, they are generally underrepresented in the country.

How poor have the major parties been in this campaign again? Probably summed up with the last couple of stunts: the Tory party's 'law' against raising taxes (the law has to be changed to raise taxes anyway) so the Labour party rightly called it out as a gimmick; only to follow it up with their own far worse stone gimmick. The thing must have cost a fortune! What a waste of stone.

Me too. Not voting tactically, just voting with the party that best reflect my views.

Trouble is, I don't think the Muslim Brotherhood are fielding any candidates in Coventry North West.

Don't vote! Just think, if absolutely everyone in the country decided not to vote, wouldn't THAT fuck with their minds!

Yeahave been a rough few years
I remember the first thing they did to Coventry when Kevin Foster failed to win the one seat in Coventry SW was to cull 1000 jobs recently moved up from London into purpose built premises

I bet all these public sector workers are annoyed with the cuts caused by Labour overspending.

Indeed, although they're probably not as worried as the people needing to feed themselves from foodbanks because the 'irreplaceable' talent from the financial banks wanted to take crazy gambles to make themselves even richer.

Still, it's not like a little austerity isn't good for the soul, eh - even if it's not actually needed.

And that's me done on politics. Sorry NW, I rose to the bait.... it's just too tempting!

The banks are responsible for a lot, but how on earth are they to blame for the government not putting enough aside for a rainy day?

So what would you suggest then? More council cuts, carers spending even less time with the elderly, removing disability benefits? Go on what's the solution?

I was talking about who was to blame, so I don't see why your asking me those questions. It has nothing to do with what I said.

Welfare has to take the brunt of the cuts, along with more efficiencies in the public sector.

What would you suggest?

I cannot be more efficient just at the moment, without having a breakdown...

Anyway, welfare doesn't have to be cut if taxes are raised to pay for it...

I would suggest this country is going to be in debt for many many decades. The notion that a few cuts in benefits would solve these problems are frankly ridiculous.

Ultimately to bring revenue in you need to tax the well off more. There is no other solution. If we want the NHS we need to pay for it. Personally I'd make people of a certain income band take out PHI to alleviate the burden.

I'd also make people of a certain income pay for doctors appointments.

I'd increase the tax rate to 70% for those earning over £150,000

I would raise stamp duty massively for properties over £750,000

Oh and I'm voting Green by the way due to their animal welfare policies. Cameron can shoot stags one handed. Did you know that? He can fuck off for that alone.

Brilliant policies, Britain will be back to the economic powerhouse of the 70's in no time.

Just one question though, what happens when all those earning over £150k move their wealth abroad?

The brain drain is a masnoma and I hardly think France is in the 70's - it's got better healthcare and better policies in education - and they pay higher taxes.

Interesting. So you at least agree that immigration is no issue and that in fact we should open the borders further as we need a regular supply of workers.
