Have to wonder why and how it went so drastically wrong for Pressley after that night

Had virtually the whole ground singing his name and the players looked like they were running through brick walls for him in that game

Was out of a job a few months later

The unfortunate answer is he just wasn’t a good manager and the performance then would have been adrenaline from the occasion. A shame really as he cared tremendously about the job

Still think he did a steady job in the Sixfields season, things did kind of fall into place a bit considering he had no choice but to play Wilson but he had us playing some exciting and decent football for most of that season

I’ll always admire his loyalty, many managers would have walked in the summer of 2013, he quite clearly took the club into his heart

“Steven Pressley’s Sky Blue Army”

And the family behind us were totally clueless as to who he was. Was offered the chance to replace MR at Huddersfield apparently.

I think Pressley’s record since has confirmed it. It is a bit weird how you downplay Robins as much as you do while defending the record of someone who just hasn’t succeeded anywhere

Im not downplaying anything - Pressley was appointed to deal specifically with sixfields - no manager can succeed when Clarke and Wilson go and then you get Josh Mcquoid - he was made a patsy I’m reality

And Robins inherited that nightmare side of 2017. Pressley cared enormously for the club but really hasn’t achieved anywhere

Robins on relegation had the big benefit of the Maddison money filtering through when the club was at its lowest level - he spent more on the loan of clarke Harris in league 2 than any manager before him had in league one - I think we can close with Barton

The funny thing is our fabled model has yielded very little since 2017 - we even funded the hamer transfer from a deal struck by Steve Waggott

Well as we've established before your main gripe with Robins is being too friendly with the owners. Pressley has been poor everywhere he's been-just a fact I'm afraid

Stats are a funny thing - there’s a 2% pts difference between them as managers

Well one has been sacked or resigned from CCFC, Fleetwood, Carlisle and a Cypriot club and the other has got a double promotion at a club that hadn't made the top 6 anywhere since 1970.

Would you bring back the 17 years of top flight relegation and no top 6 finishes outside of it?

I'd say it's because we had an abysmal squad
