English Football League rules state that the League must have absolute clarity on where a club intends to play the following season during the early part of the second half of the current football season.
This probably means January February which is almost upon us -
An early indication of positivity will be if the club pays the £500,000 fee for Chaplin due January
all a bit worrying

Firstly, our ground situation regarding the Football League has bugger all to do with our contract with Pompey vis a vis Chaplin. Whatever happens with the ground situation, we'll be obliged to honour our side of the deal or face breach of contract action by Pompey. Putting ourselves in admin to get out of paying for Chaplin could be one route out, but seems a tad extreme (!) and excessive.
Regarding the ground situation, there may be a deadline but it will be explicit, not like the woolly time period you give above. Probably in the rulebook if anyone can be bothered to look it up. Regardless ,if you are right and we simply need to state where we "intend" to play home games next season, there ought to be no reason not to simply put "The Ricoh Arena" on the form.
I believe it to be the 1st of March to be the deadline set to lodge paperwork saying you are able to meet all criteria to be a member of the Football League.
