Does the potential rewards for this have any bearing on the recruitment/ selection policy at the club or would it be a happy coincidence for fishers 'strategy'??

Its only 750 K per season, across the 72 league clubs, however we must be in line for some cash...

nice concept but silly money.
out of 2300 registered players across 72 league clubs only 185 have qualified this season (english qualified under 21). Hardly a healthy stat nationallly but I reckon we've got about 12 of them inc. loan players
