Assuming Tottenham go down, do we think they'll walk the league?
Even in the Championship, surely their resources will blow everyone else out of the water?
Spurs playing at this level would genuinely be one of the most batshit crazy things ever to happen imo
Villa and Newcastle have been there in recent years of course but their decline was gradual to the point you were not all that shocked when either went down, Spurs were playing in a UCL final 7yrs ago and won the EL last season
It’s quite rare in general for clubs to be relegated in the same season they play in the main Champions League. Celta Vigo come to mind but that was 20 odd years ago now.
If Spurs do end up there, their wage bill even after cutbacks would likely be around 10 times the league average and still higher than a fair wedge of top flight clubs. They should be bagging well over 100 points.
