A powerful debut from the Edge.

Always won his headers
Doesn't hoof the ball anywhere
Has good awareness of his own team mates around him
Kept King quiet

He was very good, very solid.

But not hoofing it? That's exactly what he did. And if you watch his Youtube video, that's exactly what he does.

Really impressed with him tonight, I'd pick him ahead of Malaga next game

Edge was brilliant tonight so impressed with the guy isn't afraid of getting his head stuck in committed to the cause and played his socks off can't believe im saying this but even brown had a good game after coming under some stick from the fans. Malaga and edge look like two top class signings overall the whole team played really well and have made us long suffering fans something to be happy about

wasn't sure about the edge making his debut tonight, and looked shaky at the start, picking up a booking around half an hour, but boy didn't he do well!

Played to the last second even when suffering with cramp!

What I noticed he was a general in defence, everytime the ball was cleared it was him telling his fellow defenders to push out and hold the line. Also put himself in great positions when the ball was being crossed meaning he cleared nearly every single cross from open play away

First choice cb for me! Hope he doesn't miss to many games. He looked injured to me. It wasn't cramp .I think Shaw had seen that if he had taken him of we would probably have cracked

It was cramp and we wouldn't have taken him off as we'd used our 3 subs!

Was superb, deserves to start saturday. Looks far more convincing than Malaga, and him and Wood could be excellent together. Good to see Christie back too, looks a lot more comfortable at RB than Brown has been in recent weeks, though credit to Brown, much improved performance tonight!

Looked very impressive. King will go home asking "who was that?" tonight.

A CB with good feet and tecnically gifted combined with a rain and quick.

Clever player as well, streetwise if you like. Knew when to give King a dig and the right times to give his shirt a tug.
