Lost his position to Simms at Oxford though.....

Was never really a fan until this season. I think he's done really well and in many games has shown more leadership than Sheaf; always getting into the ear of the Ref, which I really like a player doing.

Also under Lampard he's played in a more advanced role which suits his physical attributes more than just sitting deep

He left the game in a protective boot on Saturday as I saw a picture that was taken with him.

Bollocks he was our best player first few months of the season.

He was great against Sheffield United smashed O'Hare every time he got the ball.

Eccles is never our best player. If he is then we are in the do-do. Rudoni and Thomas would have always been on the pitch for a start

Hard to see how. We've hopefully got some very big games soon. He's played in a lot of big games for us, and I don't think he's let us down in any of them. He'll be missed.

Why? He actually offers something useful.

The blessing in disguise would be if our pathetic captain could stay in the treatment room and away from the pitch. We're better without him. There are admittedly better players than Eccles, but he does his job very well and I would back him to step up in important games/moments.

It will be a shame if this rumour is true.

Don't agree with that.
The more players available the better

It really isn't with Sheaf seemingly still struggling and Rudoni still out for several weeks.

Good for the squad apparently.

Christ. I’ve seen enough after one minute. And people turn a blind eye to sicknote Sheaf.

Sick note Eccles, how long before @Saddlebrains threatens to ‘kick fuck out of him’.

Have to wrap Allen in cotton wool now particularly if Rudoni’s ankle injury is serious.

That wasn't a guarantee, it was an all being well scenario. Plus his ankle seems to be twice the size of the other one to complicate matters.

Some nonsense in here. He's been excellent for us, seriously who are these arseholes that constantly knock him? I can't only assume they either know nothing about football or don't watch our games very closely. We're in the play off places and he's one of many big reasons for that. Was my player of the season up until new year, others have shone more since, that's no slight on Eccles though!

Well I presume it's his ankle unless a WUM posted a random pic on the Rudoni injury thread.

Please send some links I haven't seen anything about Rudoni's ballooning ankle. Im sure Lampard mentioned him and Sheaf being available for Sheff U, may have misheard on the CWR postmatch

See above. Realised it was Boosh who posted a pic so probably is just a snap of his mate Craig Danny being too pissed to remember to wear a matching pair of shoes again.

A shame. Not good for squad depth and on his day he can be good.

At same time if had to pick a midfielder to do without it would be eccles

Still is the scenario far as I'm aware

I'm struggling to see how Rudoni has an ankle injury bearing in mind he hasn't stepped onto the training pitch since before the Oxford game

Gonna have a job to pick up an ankle injury when you're already out with a shoulder problem

I actually think we could miss the option to play Eccles at right back more than Centre mid.

We've had Wright, EMC and Rudoni injured. They've had a good mid season rest. Two of them back playing well. Just Rudoni now. They will be up against players knackered and picking up injuries which finishes their season.

I count their injuries as a blessing in disguise.

Asked about this

'They aren't back in until tomorrow, so if he was injured then I cant see how he would have been scanned etc.. also walked off the pitch and in the changing rooms absolutely fine post Sunderland so unless he's done it in his days off, and somehow diagnosed himself, I would assume its a wind up for now'
