Article from the Cov Observer about a possible Chinese link up. Could be a way forward for SISU to get investment.

Never understood the whole twinning of cities thing..

Jinan is twinned with:
  • Wakayama, Japan; since January 14, 1983.
  • Coventry, United Kingdom; since October 3, 1983.
  • Yamaguchi, Japan; since September 20, 1985.
  • Rennes, France; since 1985.
  • Kfar Sava, Israel; since 2007.
  • Sacramento, United States; since May 29, 1985.
  • Regina, Canada; since August 10, 1987.
  • Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea; since September 28, 1988.
  • Suwon, South Korea; since October 27, 1993.
  • Nizhny Novgorod, Russia; since September 25, 1994.
  • Vantaa, Finland; since August 27, 2001.
  • Joondalup, Australia; since September 4, 2004.
  • Augsburg, Germany; since October 10, 2004.
  • Praia, Cape Verde; since September 22, 2009.
Sorry didnt respond to the OP. All we can do is cross our fingers hey? But i assume it will be much like the previous eastern rumours unfortunately.

So lets get this straight a civic liason trip has been linked in to a takeover of CCFC simply because they are going in September with the Lord Mayor to a city that Coventry is twinned with and has a successful football team, there being no evidence of the clubs involvement in the trip itself.

is that correct, I thought a bloke who works for the chamber of commerce on the Chinese remit. Was saying the option is there for a link up between the two clubs.

the option has been there for years don ............. unless there is someone representing the club on the trip then it is just chip paper talk........... there is nothing saying the club is represented in any way
