Like I said on another thread, they have 2 years before it all goes sour- but you can’t argue with the quality of signings from them so far

I think Ipswich and birmingham (good business so far )are making strong cases .. I expect city to be challenging for the playoffs again at the very least

Southampton for me. Not sure this young coach will have the nous to navigate them to the top of the championship.

I suspect Norwich are going to be strong under Liam Manning.

It's a really difficult call right now. I think Ipswich are likely to be the strongest of the relegated sides, but other than that it is difficult to call. As with most seasons people are getting suckered into thinking the most active in the transfer market will be challenging, hence people bigging up the chances for the likes of Blues, QPR and Norwich, although the reality often turns out different. Having a quietish transfer window might actually benefit us into having a decent start to the season by having a settled team, so lets hope so anyway.

Ipswich smashed us with their second team in the cup. You never look any further than the parachute payment clubs who will be at the top unless Leicester have a massive deduction. I think Luton were an anomaly last season.
We have a good squad but will teams just park the bus? Our end of season away form needs to improve dramatically.
Going to be a big test if our plan A with wingers and possession football gets found out.
I expect top six unless injuries and loss of our top players derail us.
Relegation, anybodies guess.

I wouldn't read too much into that game. Giving away an early penalty threw whatever game plan we had out the window. Then allowing Clarke as much space as he wanted finished us off. Clarke is usually poor against us but he looked like he belonged in a premier league team that day, and he really doesn't.

So far I think this could be our season. The problem is anything can happen between now and the transfer window closing. But as things stand....

1 Ipswich
2 The fantastic Sky Blues
3 Sheffield United
4 Southampton
5 Birmingham
6 Middlesbrough
7 Leicester

22 Preston
23 Sheffield Wednesday
24 Oxford

Not sure of the final positions I would predict (can’t be arsed to type). But we will go up, and that’s all that matters
