He's definitely going to get a ban soon. He's on 9 yellow cards after today. 1 more yellow and it will be a 2 game suspension.

Maybe best to get it over now perhaps? Yellow on Tuesday and then miss 2 games and be available for the remainder of the season?

He's not going to stop the way he plays so it's not a case of if, it's a case of when.

Important question: Being suspended counts the same as being unavailable through injury right? Just asking for a friend.

Aren’t yellow cards pre December rescinded?

I thought that too, but apparently not.

Eakin made comment a few times over the past few weeks and again today. Said Doyle is now on 9 yellow cards and 1 more and he will be banned.

Apparently they arent completely wiped...

".....It means a player receiving their fifth yellow card of the season on January 1 will not receive a ban.

However, a player receiving 10 yellows by the end of the season will still be given a ban, so the cards are not completely wiped from a player’s record"

Yep, that's it. Knew it was something like that. They still tally them up.

Doyle is a clever player. He spoke about the booking on the radio and more or less said that he knows what to do to avoid a second yellow and getting sent off. He will do well to avoid another booking before the next cut off point( if there is one) but it wouldn’t surprise me if he managed it.

I once referred to a bout of explosive diarrhoea as 'the yellows'.

With how easy it is to get booked these days I always find a ban for 10 yellows over 40 games to be fucking ridiculous.

He should have taken them before his injury and planned for it

Apparantly the cut off for 10 is 37 games.

So as long as he doesn’t pick one up in next 3.

Rod Macdonald is on 8 yellows and 1 red.

Funnily enough That was Willis first caution in the league this year! And it’s a straight red.

He hasn’t got a yellow all season. I had to double check, pretty crazy a centre back hasn’t had a yellow all season

His speed helps him get out of situations whereas McDonald doesn’t have that burst of pace and has to take the yellow card a lot more often

Correct! He’s way too good for this league.

His red card should be rescinded!

No yellow cards-maybe proving again that we maybe “too nice”?

"James Maddison, who features prominently for The Yellows, has recovered from a bout of the 'yellows' to spearhead the attack."

There's a little shit joke in there somewhere, I felt it as I was writing...

So what he needs do is give loads of free kicks away needlessly to improve his game?

Well thought out argument as usual

You've posted no yellow cards is a sign of us or a certain player being too soft/nice. If you look at Willis' yellow card record he rarely gets one over his career. If you want him to be less 'soft' then you're asking him to get unnecessary yellow cards

So if your Doyle do you get booked against Lincoln to miss "on paper" our easiest game left this season at home to Barnet? so not to risk missing Luton

Funnily enough, I think that's also the cut off for dongonzalos to pay his bet. That'd be 80% of the games this season

Was it 80%? I thought he said a lower figure.
