What's he said?Defending the ticket prices.
Phil Upton being very soft on him.
Paraphrasing so won’t get it 100% right. What's he said?
Good point about season ticket price but the non season ticket cost for kids and families isn’t ok and the local radio should challenge him on itParaphrasing so won’t get it 100% right.
But he argued, the club is a loss making business and with the difference between the parachute payment teams and us, it’s something we do to try and keep up. Also mentioned the cost of other events like concerts.
Mentioned the £30 cap the premiership has but noted they also have hundreds of millions in Premiership tv rights.
Said away fans get to choose if they come or not. Then mentioned the club chooses to support supporters via cheaper season tickets and the club will have lower prices when needed like in midweek January.
Apologies if I misheard or missed anything
Tbh tend to agree with alot of what he says. You have a choice.Paraphrasing so won’t get it 100% right.

Yep that was pretty much it. Tbh and I know people won't like this, we're one of only a handful of teams in the Championship who haven't had the benefit of a parachute payment. It's not a level playing field and it's his job to close that gap and give the team a budget to be competitive. I don't remember those teams with parachute payments saying they'd share it out and help subsidise us.Paraphrasing so won’t get it 100% right.

See he did mention the kid prices stating for home fans we have the family zone where we don’t make much.Good point about season ticket price but the non season ticket cost for kids and families isn’t ok and the local radio should challenge him on it
I'd say he's aware of it, but presumably he has someone look at it for him and just give him the flavour. Can't get embedded in the detail. He definitely reads this forum!
I'd still like to think he posts occasionally. He definitely reads this forum!
They usually are, even like the one he did himself in the CBS, it's all preprepared questions and answers, much like a politician. Good PR though and better than hearing nothing like with the last regime.Bit of a non interview really
I hope he's Boosh.I'd still like to think he posts occasionally.
He does. He often reaches out to me in DM to thank me for my input and that he respects my opinion higher than anyone else on here.I'd still like to think he posts occasionally.

William StoreyWho was the poster who rocked up on a financials thread, was all over it, and never posted again?
You've just blown @Dougin's cover...He definitely reads this forum!

(I had other answers in far poorer taste so went with a safe option)
Thought he swerved the FL '18 months' left on contract bit, how about extending it.....changed conversation a bit quickly. Probably wants to use any spare cash for January strengthening!
That’s a pretty reasonable argument. If 6-8k tickets sold at £35-45 help subsidise cheaper season tickets, the incentives are correct.Paraphrasing so won’t get it 100% right.

If it's 6,000 x 4 games at £10 per ticket then that's £240k per season. For all the noise and ill feeling, if season tickets were £10 extra each, it would achieve the same revenue total and I don't think anyone would complain as it would still be good value. For all the bad PR, in hindsight it's not actually getting that much more. Having said that, more games have also gone into category 2 which has gone under the radar and that's the same price that the top category was last season. That’s a pretty reasonable argument. Kids dont make as much as adults thats the simple maths of it.Yep that’s the argument just awkward with kids prices
They also don't buy 10 beers either, but they might want a programme or a scarf or want to come again. For the away end I get it, for the home end those prices for kids is worse.K

I've seen loads of bits online like "they wanted everyone to feel sorry for them a couple of years ago, we won't forget this!" LOL fuck off, firstly its completely unrelated and secondly we got very little sympathy, most fans were calling us tramps and telling us to pay our rent. They can all fuck off imo. There's no such thing as bad PR.
People fixate on the Cat A+ prices but that makes up 3-5 games + final home games. As you rightly point out, most the games are Cat B which are in and around WBA's 'reasonable' and 'family friendly' prices. Our ST prices are cheaper than most teams in the league and it's probably also true that a lot of clubs in this league need prices relatively low to increase volume of sales, at this moment, we don't because we're riding a wave.
Clubs like Blues have no right to lecture us when they charged Wrexham fans £37 for a midweek game in L1 last season.
Commercially, the club has got the incentives in the right place and if things continue, will be giving up thousands of free season tickets next season. Using my own bad maths, fans overpaying £250 for 2-3 years to get the PL package will be rewarded with a 'free' ST in the Prem. Call me cold hearted, but I'm not shedding a tear for the irregular supporter who has to pay £45 for a one off game.
But if they get hooked as kids they will return as adults.K
Kids dont make as much as adults thats the simple maths of it.
A lot of those clubs charge £35-38 for an away supporter so the moral grandstanding over £7-10 is cringeworthy. Frankly, King has broken a taboo in football because lots of clubs (particularly teams who have high fill %) will follow suit and bump up concession prices.I've seen loads of bits online like "they wanted everyone to feel sorry for them a couple of years ago, we won't forget this!" I raised that point to them, and the fact they charged £35 to watch them play Burton Albion and Blackpool over the festive period in the third division and was met with a load of abuse cause I dared to question Lord Wagner... So feck emThere's no such thing as bad PR.
