He sounded a bit amateur but at least he's said it's a debt free fresh start. Lost count of how many appeals he made to the bondholders. Going to be another interesting day.

Only if they pay for anything pitch related and have a deal that they can’t play if the pitch quality deteriorates.

Absolutely. However, there's a big difference in a player wanting to leave rather than us hawking him around as we have no cash.

I'm happy with the INTENT not to sell. If a player want to go, then there's nothing we, or the club, can do.

It's not a coincidence and he said as much.
That association gave him an intro to approach Joy

I suspect it’s proof of funds that would be the issue with taking it seriously.

Dawkins was squeeling like a pig because he got no response from the administrator and wasn't allowed to forward a bid or even have a conversation. But clearly he doesn't understand what a period of exclusivity means.
I'd worry about him being involved if that's the case.

Fair play to Dawkins but he’s a rabbit caught in the headlights. A step too far. Good luck to him though.

Three angles in this 1, King is genuine and our long time wish for Abramovic type owner, a bit like sisu said they would be, 2 A con, sisu in disguise, 3, Makes no difference to todays court hearing it’s not about ccfc who are merely tenants and the preferred bidder comes away with the CBS then what. Or maybe a fourth to up any bid for the purchase of ccfc in the future.

Is that because it’s not in administration yet? They have very specific guidelines to dispose of assets and probably pre administration, have to act on behalf of the bond holders, if no going concern solution found, administration and then it’s open to bidders and then that could be a viable option subject to fans and funding solution.
Ashley has tried to secure a preferred position pre admin so I am not sure anyone else, including the club, can actually bid until that exclusivity period has passed or goes into formal administration

In terms of timing, I wrote before Ashley's 'preferred bidder' status had been confirmed.

Don't get me wrong, I'm fairly certain it would never have come off, but the complete lack of response is vaguely interesting.

I'm glad they never came back in many ways, personally I'd never want to be out in the middle of all of this, but it wouldn't have been too hard to get the ball rolling on a crowdfunding site if there had been any serious interest and then take it from there.

It's the sort of thing I'd expect the Trust to have stepped up to in all seriousness, they could claim a lot more credibility than a random bloke like me and maybe gather some proper external support. Too late now either way, we'll soon see what happens I guess.

It's also worth pointing out that Ashley secured a period of exclusivity by paying 1.2 million of his own money to keep the Arena operating during the admin process, this enabled CCFC to fulfil the home fixtures amongst other things.

I didn't see Sisu, Dawkins or king offering such monies (unsecured) upfront!

I mean this with due respect but a bit like football clubs get countless enquiries from spotty teenagers with Championship Manager experience, I' sure the administrator has a bunch of jokers who enquire over a football club.

I reckon you've been marked in that category

Halfway through the interview and a few things strike me as being frankly bizarre;

He’s willing to invest £25m (or perhaps 85% of), to obtain the leasehold of a Stadium that he appears never to have visited (‘I hear it’s not in great shape’).

‘No due diligence has been done, but the bid is £25m’. So just a random figure plucked out of the sky, there must be some maths behind it?!

His overuse of the word ‘super’ and insistence on replacing the letter ‘t’ with ‘d’.

Trying not to be too cynical but to say in the same interview that you're willing to pay £25m cash but also that you've not looked at the books seems a bit off

I assume he means no forced sales. Which we would've almost certainly have to have done in January in order to remain solvent.

The club will still have its price. Every club does.

Quite possibly mate, but I'm capable of appearing reasonably professional when it comes to it.

It wasn't done anonymously and I was completely open and serious about the intention. Good practice, imho, would have been to respond regardless. A request for proof of funds would soon push away any chancers.

VBut so am I, and I struggle to get people to take me seriously on house purchases, let alone stadium buys!
