I’m not sure it could. Yes we were in an ok position on the pitch but off it it was carnage. We would’ve ended up with no ground to play at next season, selling all our assets for below their value and within a couple of seasons would’ve gone down

Well we currently have no ground to play in next season, a suspended points deduction if we postpone any more games, and barely a full team worth of players under contract next summer. So yeah, it could get worse.

Are we expecting King Doug I to speak to his loyal subject's today with a vision of the future?

ie, get the fucking warchest out lad.

I’ll be convinced by Kings actions as an owner and (chairman?) regarding the direction we go with transfers etc, before outwardly saying ‘this is great’ or ‘we’re doomed!’. It’s easy for us, as a fan base, to instantly go from one spectrum to the next, as we’ve had a pretty dismal 2001-2018.

This could be the start of something special, or indeed, just more of the same. Even if we’re challenging for promotion next season off the back of 7-8 signings, that’ll do for now.

I’d consider it a triumph this month if Gyo and Hamer are retained, a few unwanted players are moved on and a few more first team players join.

We had those things anyway, so it’s not worse. I trust King more than Joy to get the ground sorted and find us a good squad for next season

The first act needs to be to secure the club's long term future at the arena and draw a line under the university of Warwick nonsense

It's something that really needs to be outlined from the off.

The club hasn't had an actual strategy going forwards other than seeing through the season really since SISU took over. And that was hardly a strategy.

Irrespective of the external investment side of things we desperately need to get club operations right, implement an actual commercial strategy that generates consistent income for the club and obviously a long-term solution for where we're playing in the years ahead. At the very least modest investment in our infrastructure is also needed as at times it's embarrassing how behind we are in that regard, especially comparative to other Championship clubs. In some aspects it feels like the club hasn't pushed on since it was in L2.

I'm not expecting much in terms of extra investment into the playing budget, the club will undoubtedly still run as a tight ship. I guess it would be nice if Robins didn't have to whip out his empty porridge bowl every transfer window and beg for scraps.

I'd hope that we'll at least get some kind of interview with him on the official site today, if he was purposely staying quiet while all of this was being sorted out now's the time to start yapping.

I hope this deal is as straightforward as it seems. It’s been suggested SISU have a buyback clause for taking another 36% at some future date. Most likely BS but would like to know the details. This is pure speculation but an interesting possibility.

I mean it's blatantly stealing the chant from Leicester but it is there best chant by miles:

Doug King had a dream
To build a football team
Got rid of Sisu
And now he's one of our own
With 5 at the back
And Vik in attack
Play up the sky blues
You made us sing that

I think the fact sisu man Fisher has been booted out the day the takeover was ratified suggests sisu influence is diminished significantly but it is a question that needs to be put to Mr King.
Sisu is like a lingering bad smell hanging around.

People on social media wanting ticket prices slashed etc to try and get "stayaways" to the games. Why? How did that work for Wasps?

I hope King comes in and maximises every revenue stream we have.

At the end of the day if the team’s doing better on the pitch that’s a far better draw than the ticket price

Does seem a bit of a shame that Kings first home game is 12.30 on sky at £33 a ticket

Had a thankless job though, had hardly any staff not sure if he even had an office half the time, had to put up with Fisher and sisu breathing down his neck and then there were the Wasp lot, that Wasp ceo was as big a prick as Fisher not to mention the move to St. Andrews, can’t have been easy.

Not a Championship CEO and in particular the embarrassing whoring out of Hyam on the cheap should have been the final straw.

On the 'meet the team' part of that page his bio ends 'Tim is the current Chairman of an English Football League Club.'

Doesn't even name us, the final insult.

Was that 100% down to him as i said he had others breathing down his neck and the would be Hyam replacement didn’t happen. I’m not saying he’s the bees knees but he had a number of difficult situations to work with.
