So many things have changed since we stepped into our new stadium , but unfortunately, one thing hasn’t & that’s our woeful PA system !
So Doug , could you politely ask Mike to sort this rubbish system out ?

I thought it was truly awful last night. Could only make out the odd word of what was said in Block 16. A serious issue if you needed to hear some instructions rather than who the the subs were. It’s felt better recently, maybe the half-emptiness affected the acoustics, but it shouldn’t be how it was last night

Slightly disappointing to turn up and there's been no improvements to the PA, looks like the same floodlights and even the repainting of the outside seems to have only been one panel.

Are the ad boards being replaced as they were missing on one side yesterday?

Wasn't it replaced last season? But agree it was awful and couldn't understand a word.

I assumed they just hadn't bothered putting them out yet. On the close season pics of the pitch maintenance everything, including the electronic ads, look like they'd been removed.

Without wishing to sound like a crusty, old curmudgeon it would be good if they could turn the sound of the music down a bit as well. I can’t have a conversation with the bloke next to me as I can’t hear a thing he says! I should also probably get a hearing test too….

Replacing the PA system wouldn't be cheap.

It's probably one of those where the club will only invest at the point where it physically stops working.

Again though, how does it work? Would the club have to pay for it or is it included in the rent?

I don't know really as the PA would need to be used for a wide variety of events such as concerts etc. so to be fair I don't think it would be right for the club to shoulder that cost on second thoughts.

The health and safety points made above are actually very valid. If there was an emergency - e.g. a fire for instance - and no one could make out what's being said... not good.

If the club is paying for turnstyles then it's the same thing.

Unless of course it is give and take and the rent goes down etc etc.

Well I think to be fair that was more to streamline footfall traffic matchdays. That's a personal choice by the club to invest in that to improve matchday experience.

You would've thought there has to be some kind of shared responsibility between the club / FG as the leaseholder to ensure that health and safety at the venue is to standard.

I would expect it to be tested when they're doing the fire safety tests. Unless there's a dedicated separate system for emergencies.

If it fails, which it must do as you can't hear a thing, then not sure they'd have any choice other than to replace it.

From what I remember of that report of the maintenance that hadn't been done by Wasps there was a lot of safety items that weren't working properly. I guess some leeway was given to Frasers to not have to fix everything day one but we're years in now, about time things like this were sorted.

Yes, as mentioned from a health and safety perspective alone it will probably be a case of it needs to be changed once it fails. The point is, who actually pays for that. Replacing a PA system is expensive work.
