From previous threads it would appear that there are quite a few of us who live down here. It got me thinking about whether there is enough interest to look at trying to arrange joint travel upto a few matches each season. Highly doubt we'd be able to fill a coach but a minibus shouldn't be a problem. Depending on where people are based we could have a number of pick-ups - maybe Weymouth, Dorchester, Poole and Bournemouth... Might be a good way to share travel costs and have a bit of banter on the way.

If anybody is remotely interested either reply to this thread or pm me. Once I have assessed interest levels I will try and get quotes from local coach/minbus companies and see whether the 'Dorset Coventry City Supporters Club' can become a viable reality.

I'm not sure how long it will take the horses to get to Coventry

We're in the modern world, Fernando - we've got tractors! Still take a long time to get to Coventry, though.

Not a bad idea, Lee; but the logistics would take some sorting out. I think we are quite well scattered across the county.

Great idea mate, Im in, I have a good carthorse as well Im Bournemouth based and would love to travel up more but because of the excessive costs involved it is somewhat restrictive. Count me in Gents! PUSB

Yeah, you are probably right about the scattering and anybody in North Dorset will be a pain to get to. Once I know who is interested and where they are based I will look at logistics and costs. I can think of 8 people from Weymouth that would conceivably be interested and there must be more than that in Poole/Bournemouth etc.

We could always have a meeting point maybe Rownhams? or somewhere that works for everyone, maybe, Bournemouth train station? That way the drinkers like myself can get home safely

A car left at Rownhams for a long time would get a parking ticket, wouldn't it? Isn't there a 2 hour time limit?

Hi all - just wondered if you get together why dont you talk to the official supporters club for sky blues in London and the South - The CCLSC (use google to find the website with contact details), they are always organising travel for home & away games and also get tickets as well etc, sure they will welcome some new members. They also arrange Q&A sessions etc. You could probably build your travel plans into something with them, so for example picking other Sky Blue Fans up on the way from Dorset to the Football centre of the world otherwise known as Coventry ....... Just an idea

btw - even in Hastings we have half a dozen Sky Blue fans, amazing how many fans move around the country and world and still gravitate towards the mighty Ricoh Arena ! - driving up Tuesday night with 2 other from Hastings with scarf flying proudly in the breeze - Up the M40 I think for a change , cant wait PUSB

Good man, I will add you onto my contacts list, despite the fact you haven't actually expressed an interest as such. We need everyone we can get to get this up and running!

I would be interested, living in Dorchester but working weekends makes it hard to get to games. Looking forward to the Bournemouth game though!

I am interested in your suggestion Lee. I live in Swanage. I sometimes travel up with skyblueindorset - he may be from the depths of north Dorset, but we meet up at the Merley roundabout outside Poole, which is also on or close to the route from Weymouth. Can leave cars in the lay-bys there all day - mine has not been vandalised yet!
