JON PARKIN is set to join Doncaster Rovers on loan, it has been claimed.

The big Cardiff City striker nearly joined Coventry City on transfer deadline day only for the deal to collapse over personal terms.

However the former Preston man - nicknamed The Beast - now looks set to join Doncaster on a month loan. Rovers hope to have Parkin in their squad to face Crystal Palace in their next game.
