Hoffman really is a fan; I was at school with him - he was a regular in the West End.
They would rather we were bottom of league 2 if they could get their grubby hands on the club for a pound

With the U23s the players sometimes swap numbers if the shirt sizes are wrong for them but probably the best indicator is whether he makes the 18 in the first team squad when he's fit
Never understood why U23 get given a 1-11 cos players of different sizes can play at the same number - must use up a lot of shirts. As those in U23 are most likely to have a squad number why not have them play in their normal squad number/name shirt? Always the right size then.

Since the midway point of the season Coventry has won against Tranmere Rovers. What was a red on the above chart has turned into a yellow seeing that the home and away fixtures ended in an equal result with one win each.
The same has happened with Milton Keynes Dons. A draw, home and away for both team has ended with an equal result.
The home draw and away win against Doncaster Rovers has scored a different type of yellow which can be seen again in the chart.
Whilst this system is a measure of Coventry's balance (Ceteris Paribus) against other teams in the league instead of the scoring system of 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw. I thought it would be interesting to measure Coventry's current position, against the top 3 places of last season, and see where the away win against Doncaster Rovers fits in to the bigger picture.
There are always patterns in the data.
The only players that were at the club this time 2 years ago from Saturday's starting squad are Shipley, Biamou, Kelly and Hyam. 7 of the starting 11 signed this seasonThe majority of our match day squad has been together for 2-3 years (seasons is probably what he means) to varying degrees.
More importantly, in my view, is that Robins has brought some continuity because he’s been with the club for nearly 3 years so there’s a settled framework at the club. To be fair to Robins, he’s been adaptable in his 2nd spell, going from 4-2-3-1, to 4-4-2 in two separate seasons, switched to 4-3-3 this season, which looked quite good before injuries and varied the wingback formations before settling on 3-4-2-1. Which is probably the perfect system for our personnel at present.
I am intrigued to see if Jones fits in well - if he does, he’ll give us an added dimension.
