I can’t love cats because if they were big enough they would eat you.

Meeting some friends today and we came across a woman who was training a medical detection dog called Mimi, well puppy at the moment about 18 months old.

Apparently the dog was sponsored by Dominic Solanke, and lo and behold I found a post that backs up the story.

Jovie. My 12 months and 5 day old Sprocker. 50% Working Cocker, 50% Springer, 100% Fucking Moron!

Rescued at 4 days old with 3 siblings and mum and dad, by the RSPCA and Police from a crack den. Apparently they were farming puppies to feed their drug addiction. Got her from SYESSR. South Yorkshire English Springer Spaniel Rescue when she was 8 weeks old.

She'll swim in the dirtiest, stagnant ponds. Roll in the deepest, muddiest puddles. But will she go out for a wee in the rain? Will she fuck!

Yeah, but that's the fun of it all, knowing they can leap off your lap and attack you at any given moment.

If only!

That’s a field that the dog trainer rents for agility training.

Young Poppy.

We’ll take her up the ground early on Saturday or Sunday mornings, especially if it’s been raining - because she’ll take the piss and get all muddy in a field. We start off at Car Park C, over the bridge, around the ground and through the tunnel back to C for 2 or 3 laps. She will bark at both statues, she did so on all 3 laps on Saturday.

Lovely. Same for our dog, re swimming in filth, then we took her to a dog pool in Earl Shilton that was clean and where we can all swim together. She hated it.

Max is also a rescue from Scottish Springer Spaniels & is the 4th springer we have had. He loves dirty puddles & the river and he always has to have something in his mouth, a toy, a ball or even sticks or a stone. He makes us laugh every day as did our previous spaniels.

My 9 year old working cocker, has to go swimming once a day no matter how cold the sea is , still gets three walks a day with a minimum of 10 miles in total normally a lot more

Our dog has been really poorly , not eating her food . We gave her some boiled chicken and rice which she is tolerating. The vet told us we are doing the right thing. She’s fine walking and pooing but sleeping/ resting for longer periods . She’s almost 12 so getting on a bit bless her

We took our dog Daisy to the vets last night , she has a tumour . The vet said an operation will be too traumatic for her , they gave her an injection to stop the sickness and some gastrointestinal sensitive food . They said the longer we leave her the more she will suffer . My wife and daughter are in bits , we have made the decision just not sure when to do it . Even looking at daisy she looks sad and she is so lethargic I’m really going to miss her as taking her on walks were a godsend when my dad died . Heartbroken

I am so fucking sorry. It's always an utterly wretched situation and horrible decision to have to make, but I hope you take whatever comfort you can that Daisy was one of the lucky ones; far too many of these beautiful creatures are doomed to short, stressful lives of pain and misery and she got to live a long life full of warmth, love and care, and at least this way the final moments are within your control.

I don't know if you're Coventry/Warwickshire based, and please decline this advice if it's no good to you, but I've heard nothing but good things about Zoomies Mobile Vet: Zoomies Mobile Vet Care Ltd They'll conduct the final appointment at home and take care of the particulars, if that's what you want. Love to you, your family and Daisy

It is the worst thing about having a pet. My heart goes out to you, Daz. Enjoy these moments the most you can. Not that I want to push you in any direction, but don't question yourself in getting a second opinion if you feel uncertain. I have had some bad experiences with vets who wanted to push us down this avenue (not saying it is the case for you).

Best wishes to your family and try to keep your spirits up. What a great life Daisy has had with you, and you should be very proud.
