FIFA is making a fortune out of the world cup but how much do the players see of that money?

Why doesn't someone like Sky organise an alternative world cup and return the cash to the players? I'm sure we could find some stadium's in the UK for them to use....

The England team on the World stage are a massive cash cow for our own FA. The sentiment might be reasonable but the practicality of it means that it won't happen. Anyhow I think the players at international level earn plenty and if money is needed to motivate someone over pride to play for their country, then I would rather they be excluded. The money should be used for grass roots but the organisation seems less than accountable. England's unwillingness to co-operate in paying off people meant that we could never win the last bid and some might think the bungs were a small price to pay, but I'm happy with our decision to stand up to this one
