Pretty much not the same deal given that rather large change. Your favoured party once again wasting fortunes to try and win an ideological battle.

I still think it should’ve been put to members back in March, which I think inc no compulsory redundancies until 2025. From memory TSSA put it to members and it was good enough for them.

Each to their own though.

Hasn’t every new offer been put to members?

TSSA are mostly back office so the ticket office closures wouldn't of really affected them so what is your point there?

No. The one mentioned wasn’t

Edit - from memory. It was in relation to National Rail but not rail operators. Might be wrong but think that was the case

The point is the offer was put to members and they accepted. I personally think it’s should’ve been put to RMT members in Feb/March. If it had then it may have been accepted. We’ll never know.

I think it was

RMT update on new Network Rail pay offer and referendum

Rail union, RMT will hold a referendum on a new and improved offer from Network Rail on pay and benefits.
www.rmt.org.uk

Pretty sure every new offer was put to members. RMT recommended that they didn’t accept every new offer including the current one, members voting this time to accept despite the recommendation from RMT.

That related to members who worked for NR but as I say from memory it wasn’t put forward in relation to members that worked for rail operators. Very confusing !

Had to google to check I wasn’t going mad. The good old Bracknell news explains

RMT members at Network Rail accept offer to end dispute

The union said the deal includes an uplift on salaries of between 14.4 for the lowest paid grades to 9.2 for the highest paid.

So she's a tory enabler but if we don't vote for her version of the Labour party we're tory enablers?

She's the embodiment of the current Labour Party though.
Yes, most people are going to vote for them, the British electorate loves a centre right party.

I get your point but she’s stepping down at the next election so no one will be voting for either her or a party with her in.

Shit though in it. Other than new manager bounce it’s hard to see what difference labour is offering. Mick Lynch listed a few things in his Andrew Marr interview but he was struggling to sell it other than the country needs a change in government.

Well who's going to be the replacement for her wing?
Something along the lines of a civil servants son getting selected by 8 Postal votes?

Not nearly as twatty as some of the skeletons in her closet.

With a past like hers, Margaret Hodge might show a bit more humility

Didn’t the government admit that it would have been cheaper to just accede to the union’s original requests instead of carrying on a dispute, but they did the latter for political reasons?

They probably do. I really don't, but if it's a choice between that and an extreme right one I guess I will probably vote for them.

He probably should be but I think it is becoming clear that the ones more deserving of prison are Johnson and most of all Sunak.

There's nothing weird about challenging and highlighting the rapid movement of the Labour party from the centre left to the centre right under Starmer et al.

There are people who get outraged by any criticism of Starmer because they think it might hurt Labour's electoral prospects, but are willing to completely overlook Labour MPs (MPs mind you), working actively to sabotage Labour's chances in the last election. Now that's weird.

If the only reason left for voting Labour is that they're not quite the current iteration of the Tory party, then cool, fill your boots mate. I'd just like to see a party that actually stands for something.

Still the only vote at the next general election
Then they have a term to show the sort of country they want to realise
Democracy as we all know is the worst form of government except for everything else

While lunatic far right people like Braverman get senior cabinet roles, it is seen as ‘unelectable’ to do things like support striking union members on picket lines or even just verbally support them.

Like we have Labour MPs now working to sabotage Starmer? Like we have Tory MPs trying to sabotage Sunak? Like Sunak tried to Sabotage Johnson and Truss? Like Brown sabotaged Blair and Blair sabotaged Brown?

Welcome to broad party politics.

Corbyn lost because of Corbyn. Come to terms with that instead of looking for a boogeyman.

The point being that the threshold to be called far right by the electorate is much higher than that to be called far left. Sending asylum seekers to Rwanda equals moderate, supporting the right to strike equals communist.

No Pete! What will happen as Starmer walks into Downing Street is he’ll be hit by a pang of fear. “Why did differ vote Green??” And shift his entire policy platform.

That's actually quite a scary figure as it suggests 59% either like her or don't care!
