Car insurance firms are scum bags but also think the amount of car theft and damage to vehicles has led to some of the increases in certain locations. It certainly impacted mine in my area…not surprised to see West Mids police put in special measures…useless.

What's the actual numbers, it's nothing new to me I've regularly been charged at the top rate for years, I've had one new screen across twenty years because drunkards, penalised for the address, being older now it's doesn't resemble a clean record of at least 30 yrs.

Ps I also know austerity wouldve negatively impacted police numbers and you’d think increased crime rates* but looking at the percentage of solved cases, in a country which has the most cameras per person/surveillanced in the world bar China, it’s an embarrassment
*crime rates were actually higher in early/mid 2000s than now but I think probably less gets reported these days as most know the police will do fuck all

Mr car insurance has gone up this year because Mrs Wisdom is a named driver and was driven into, with the police as witnesses, so entirely on the other driver without contest.

The reason insurance companies give, is that being involved in an accident which isn't your fault, seemingly increases your risk of being involved in a future accident.
I know that sounds completely ridiculous, but that's the justification used.

Seems like the real story there is parents not trusting own brand baby formula and branded formula makers absolutely reaming them for it.
I'm not sure it is the real story. Who didn't know that long established and heavily marketed brands are often preferred over own brands? Especially for things like baby formula?
