Unfortunately, it’s probably inevitable.that's pretty much where I'm at tbh. Wasn't expecting Starmer to be far left or anything like that but other than getting the current lot out don't really see any reason to vote Labour under his leadership.

Was listening to a guy from the spectator and even they were saying they can't see anyway back for the Tories. I think people have realised that 'stopping the boats' isn't going to improve their lives and the 'war on woke' isn't going to put food on their table. These vacuous approaches aren't going to do it at the election, although they will of course have most of the media in their side.There’s no sign it’s going to be anything but a stinking majority TBF.

Labour are deeply uninspiring but the alternative of more of what we have had can't hold any appeal for the vast majority of people surely.

44 so far set to stand down at the next election. Now *that's* a pretty big reason why Tories will lose too, as it's far harder to win if you're not the established MP, so otherwise safe seats will turn over on that alone.Another Tory stands down but one in a really safe seat

This is another resignation as an MP with immediate effect. 3 by-elections now confirmed and more expected as the Boris cult MP’s fall on Boris’ sword for him. Allegedly they’re going to draw them out over a period of time to create maximum damage to Sunak. He may as well call a GE now. The longer this goes on the worse it will get for him. He’s lost the party.44 so far set to stand down at the next election. Not sure how the Tories select their candidates but I would think that he’s now lost the opportunity to stand as a candidate for the Tories at the next GE, whenever that might be. At least while Sunak is leader. Only way I can see him doing it is by standing as an independent (which would mean resigning from the Tory party I would think), getting elected as an independent, the Tories lose the GE and he then rejoins the Tories ahead of a leadership election. There was always talk while he was PM of moving seats at the next GE for that very reason. On the presumption that he’d still be PM at the next GE of course.He didn't have much of a majority for the seat anyway did he could have easily lost it at the next election?
There’s some suggestions that Boris has a total of six allies willing to fall on his sword and resign as MP’s to trigger by elections in the hope that others will follow bringing down Sunak. Although The Times is reporting it’s already falling flat and allies are abandoning him. So maybe that’s it for the resignations in “honour” of Boris.
