That’s nonsense Tony. We’re not even checking EU produce until next year.

Unless you’re suggesting the EU is trying to teach us another lesson. Hang on a sec…

It’s not nonsense. EU and Ukraine has a free trade area agreement. It’s not checks that are the issue it’s paperwork and protocols.

I know you think that this is a gotcha but the fact is Ukraine has better arrangements with the EU than us. The fact that a war zone outside of the EU is better served by its trading arrangement than us with ours speaks volumes about how bad ours is. Still, we held all the cards.

We held all the cards until some idiots voted UKIP and gave that twat Farage a voice.

You can’t even be bothered to vote - at least when Tony despised Europe he had the balls to admit he worshipped Farage and his ideology

But they’ve been doing it for three years. Everything will be in place and there’s no checks yet as I say. If this was an U.K. export issue I’d agree as I think Ukraine have agreed to follow certain EU standards (like we should do) but this will be to do with the weather impacting produce available and then certain supply arrangements between supermarkets and suppliers. by all accounts it will resolve itself in a couple of weeks so as I said earlier brexit is obviously way down the list of reasons

Correct. A choice between a Labour leader that was splitting the Labour Party or Tory.

Would rather lick your sweaty back than vote Tory. And don't get excited as that won't happen either.

The one time I voted for a Farage backed candidate as a “warning shot” it didn’t return a Farage backed MEP, Tories actually won my seat. You on the other hand voted for a Farage backed candidate in 2019 (Martin Daubney IIRC) and put him in the EU parliament giving Farage a voice.

You’re missing the point. It’s not about checks, checks are irrelevant. It’s about bureaucracy and protocols caused by brexit. Checks or no checks they still have to do brexit protocol and bureaucracy. They don’t for Ukraine. I also doubt that we’ll start inspections next year. It’s another failure of Brexit, checks were supposed to start straight away. The government made customs invest in the infrastructure but we’ve never been able to recruit enough people to implement it, which is why we keep delaying it.

I’ll tell you what. Let’s turn this on its head. Explain to me why a war torn country sitting on the edge of the EU isn’t having to ration food supplied from the EU unlike a non war torn country also sitting on the edge of the EU which is having to ration food normally supplied from the EU.

The referendum was already confirmed you moron. That ship sailed in in 2013 when Cameron confirmed an in/out referendum in the next parliament. I voted my warning shot in 2014’s European elections. History really isn’t your strong point.

Someone in the family works as dispatcher for a major food manufacturer. When their lorries pass from GB to NI, the lorries are made to wait there for so long that the food has to be dumped because the paperwork either doesn't exist or is too cumbersome. The government was meant to have the paperwork ready for 2020, but had nothing ready.

The majority in Poland, where tomatoes aren’t being rationed, same as in Ukraine. In fact the only Ukrainians struggling to get a tomato at the moment are the ones who have took refuge in the UK. Maybe they can get a food parcel from relatives still in Ukraine.

Its ridiculous - so if Nick Griffin and the BNP were the anti EU party you’d have voted for them?

It’s just abject nonsense. Did the warning shot get noticed? Did Cameron contact you?

Ah OK. The timeline proves you’re talking shite so it’s time for if your gran had bollocks would she be your grandad nonsense. No I wouldn’t have voted BNP regardless. And the warning shot was to the EU to take Cameron’s negotiations with them seriously not to Cameron. As I’ve pointed out already he committed to a referendum in 2013, the next EU election was 2014. There was always the possibility that Cameron would come back with nothing, especially if the EU didn’t believe the threat of of an out vote was serious, so I pinched my nose and voted UKIP as they had to see leave as a serious threat. They didn’t, Cameron came back with very little and claimed it a victory, we had the 2016 referendum he committed us to in 2013 and the rest is history. But given your grasp of history I suppose it falls to me to let you know the result of the referendum, we all lost.

Tony I mean this in the kindest sense but why type all that shite as I think you are a complete idiot?

This is a football forum and you spend 99.9% of your time on it spouting off utter tripe that no one cares about

Tony - you lost - you lost - it’s gone we’ve left the EU - it’s clear you don’t have a lot of interest in football so do and do something else as honestly no one gives a fuck what you say on here

I think most people who can afford a new build want a semi at least. Of course there are terraces built in some developments. But there’s not enough houses generally so if you can build higher spec you’ll get more money assuming they sell (which they will) because the markup is better.

I came out of my time in property with two solid beliefs: planning law needs to be much tighter on minimum space and energy efficiency and local authorities need to build old style council houses. It’s all a numbers game and even the social housing orgs play it they just have a bit more concern for the people living in the tiny shit holes they build.

Also we need to change the mindset of what properties are. Far too much about it's economic investment rather than its worth as a place to live.

Property development shows have a lot to answer for!

While there’s money it won’t change. The market needs depressing through more supply. But no one’s gonna vote for a politician who promises to reduce their house value, too many people have literally too much invested now.
