he also has a positive bet approval rating and 88% of Tory voters overall will vote for Tory vs 41% a few weeks ago

We'll see if that lasts when inflation, tax rises, and spending cuts really start to bite. Currently he's the furlough and eat out to help out chancellor who miraculously predicted Truss's plans would be a disaster when nobody else could see it, isn't he.

maybe so but whereas before Starmer May as we’ll be given the keys to Downing Street and told to move in in two years he will now have to actually present policies and face questions around them

Of course. That said, they are actually pulling together policies as we speak.

And tbf I'd rather a party be elected on policy rather than a not Corbyn or not Truss ticket. That at least means there's a bigger chance of an actual plan being in there somewhere.

I see Boris is planning on attending COP 27. Well it is in a holiday resort. Might even be a coincidence that they’re in the same town at the same time

I also don’t think it’s healthy for politics when one party is elected with a massive, massive majority. Especially when egos like Boris and his cronies are involved, we’ve just witnessed 3 years of them thinking they can do what they like whether that’s dishing tax payers money out to mates or believing it doesn’t matter if they break the rules. Not comparing Starmer and his front benches egos to those at the top of the Tory party but if they won the majority they were polling when Truss was PM the UK would have effectively had no opposition and I don’t think that’s healthy in a parliamentary democracy.

Sadly it seems to be a common trait for people that want to be in government.

I assume Russia have got details of everyone on the Oxford PPE courses and are trying to influence/get shit on them now as students, because there's a ridiculously high probability that you'll a load of MP's and a PM or two from your efforts.

It's incredible that for a position that is supposed to represent the whole of Britain, geographically and socio-economically, that we've had three of the last five PM's all study one particular course at one university.

Johnson and his allies clearly briefing and leaking against Braverman to undermine and bring the government down. Exactly as expected.

Exactly. This is just new manager bounce. Even the lettuce Truss got a bounce in the polls.

Once the cost of living crisis really takes hold and the government continues to disgrace themselves let's see where he's at.

Which begs the question. Who leaked Truss’ phone being hacked. The war continues.

More details, more doubts

Suella Braverman email could throw fresh doubt over security breach claims

An email sent from the home secretary's account could raise questions over how quickly she took action.

Tory factions going into overdrive briefing against each other and leaking stuff rather than actually getting on with running the country.

More internal tory party war maneouverings.
Was listening to a podcast at the weekend that claimed there's a dozen factions within the party.
They're now so divided that its impossible for them to govern.

The far right in the party are still not happy despite the hopeless Braverman being given one of the prime Cabinet positions. It's just selfish to keep governing at this point-the country deserves a say

Apparently Johnsons supporters briefing against her as a way of getting at Sunak. If he Bumps her he'll have the ERG maniacs on his case really turn against him, it's ridiculous, and as you point out, selfish.

Sadly they've got away with so much in the past 3 years it leads to behaviour like this. Agree with Starmer though that the time for a VONC has been and gone and this is what we're stuck with for years yet

Gullis joining in with the inflammatory language. And Lee Anderson. Farage too.

These pricks will get someone killed.

Also apparently migrants at some centres are assigned numbers on arrival and are then referred to by number only, not by name. That sounds a bit... erm.
