Hilariously, most Tory members would actually prefer that they don’t get to choose the next PM.

So, out of the frying pan, into the fire, back out of the fire and back into the frying pan, then?

To make it even worse, Grendel might relax his self imposed ban on this thread now...

It's 3 months since 60 odd MPs resigned their posts because Johnson refused to step down. I don't see him coming back.

If he does it'll be the end of the Tory party for a long time.

I think it'll be Mordaunt.

She still had that stupid grin when delivering the resignation speech. It's like she was proud of what she had done. You could see her smile when she said she was elected by the party as Prime Minister. I genuinely think in her mind she thinks she's done really well.

Just listening to LBC and Fogharty made a good point which is that if what Mordaunt claims about Sunak ordering his supporters to vote Truss so he had an easier appointment then really he’s as much to blame as she is.
Heard that too. If that’s true Truss is on Sunak as much as anyone. They’ve got to pick whoever they put too party members so carefully now, aside from Sunak and Mordaunt anyone else would be worse than Truss.

It needs to be a GE - anything else would be a farce at this point.

Well Brits abroad got stiffed on the Brexit vote in 2016 if I recall correctly.

Just wondering what the crack was with GE's.

That was only the case if they'd been abroad for 15+ years.
Personally, I think if you pay taxes and live in a country you should be able to vote.

How is your constituency decided?

(I suppose I could Google this, but I can't be arsed. Too busy reading about Eccles and Dabo)
