David has answered mate it’s the Ipsos poll

It’s a handy place to see all the polls in one place with the trendline. Interestingly it says Opinium made a lot of changes to their sampling to minimise the effect of undecided Tory voters:

UK: Voting intention and methodology update – 11th February 2022 - Opinium

Labour holds a 3 point lead under our new methodology. However, the smaller lead is because of the new methodology, not because of a weakening in Labour's

Well I mean do you feel that Labour has a double digit lead or are those just outliers?

I asked if the poll that said truss was closing in on Starmer was nonsense - in your adult considered opinion was it? Why are you scared to answer?

I'm not angry and you are not "debating", you are comparing apples to pears and wilfully trying to mislead.

I have at no stage back the findings of any poll. I have simple said it was nonsense for you to compare the findings of 2 different polls released within a couple of days of each other and then pretend that shows a massive decline in poll lead for Labour.

So I can ask you this "Why do you lie and be disingenuous when asked to sensibly debate"?

After all you are arguing against something I have not said or claimed.

The poll that gave the 14 point lead also asked who’d be the best prime minister Didnt it?

I've already said the poll you were quoting seems to be bumping around with the MoE for that poll.

And? That has absolutely nothing to do with the conversation were are having does it.

I state again I have not stated any particular poll is right or wrong apart from stating the one Ian mentioned looked to be bumping along with the MoE.

So the results of any poll be it a 14% labour lead, be it a 3% lead, be it anything to do with Truss vs Starmer is meaningless to the point at hand which was simply this "It is wrong to compare the results of one poll run by one polling company with another poll run by another company and imply this shows a decrease in poll share".

Sorry but your weak and off topic "gotchas" and attempts change what we are actually talking about do you no favours.

Angry again - it’s always best to read the full poll details than a cheap “gotcha” headline from my experience

Calm down it’s a discussion. No need to be angry is there?

It could be but at the moment it is as likely to be MoE, you will need to look at a few more polls to gauge this,

No one is being angry, I've simply said you are trying to change the subject.

Why would I need to read the full poll details? I haven't said that poll is correct?

I am perfectly calm, you are flailing about and are now having to resort to pretending I am angry.

I'm not angry, I just find it amusing you are needing to pretend I have said something to get out of the whole you have dug for yourself.

You're pretty much done here.

What point is there debating you Grenner? You constantly change the subject and pretend I have said things that I have not.

I'd rather not waste my time getting into a "debate" with where you keep on trying to pretend I am stating things I am not.

Thank you but no thank you. I have better things to do.

Just because polls show there is almost equivalence in people's opinion on Truss being as good a PM as Starmer doesn't make them right. Truss is the epitome of the purge of intelligence in the Tories by Boris.
