Job vacancies outpace unemployment for first time

The unemployment rate falls to its lowest level for nearly 50 years between January and March.

But if he's worried about that how does raising interest rates help? People don't have enough money to cover the essentials, how does raising the cost of their mortgage do anything other than create more calls for wage increases, exactly what he says would be a problem.

Their rap sheet over recent years is disgusting.

Is it the same piece of shit who disappeared last year while facing a similar charge. Lack of evidence got the charges dropped IIRC. New evidence and possibly another case by the look of it.

Let's see what Tory MP stops turning up for work.

If twitter is correct I am not surprised

Only Djangoly and Bacon were in the commons tonight for the vote on the windfall tax.

It is was any other job, you would be suspended pending investigation. This MP will be asked not to come to parliament.

Well it's made complicated by an MP not being able to be 'sacked' so to speak

Isn't a sentence of 12 months more more they need? after all appeals?

No but I mean isn't the mechanism for them to go to be appointed an officer of some archaic realm? Or to be removed by petition of constituents-but the other disciplinary processes aren't as they are for a normal workplace

To be honest, if the allegations are true, then women have been assaulted so im not sure any aspect of it can be described as brilliant.

Surely any job you couldn’t fire someone without being found guilty in a court of law?

I wasn't saying an immediate sacking but even suspension I don't think can work in the same way as for a conventional job

Well it does most times an allegation is made as a 'neutral act' while an investigation establishes the facts

For an allegation like this, suspension on full pay would happen nearly every time. It certainly would where I've worked.

The list of offences is considerable in this case. Sexual assault, rape, abuse of power. Its also a job that would need to pass police checks, security clearance, and has contact with the public.

I thought it was the other way round, and people were suspended as standard for allegations such as bullying or sexual harassment?
I thought leaving someone working alongside their accuser left the company vulnerable to a claim if the allegations were proven true?
Don't know a lot about it so I could be wrong.

Standard practice. Know of a colleague who was accused of sexual misconduct with a student-they were taken off site immediately. Investigation concluded the allegation was entirely false and they were allowed back. But...if it had been true then they presented an immediate risk to those around them

Suspension I agree does come across as a punishment but officially disciplinary proceedings don't begin until an investigation is finished

Yep but for sexual harassment and worse it seems appropriate. Interesting not in the Houses of Parliament

The amount of people naming Francois on Twitter and yet now lots are saying it's Rosindell. I doubt they'll apologise if wrong either way, but labelling someone a rapist on baseless opinion is pretty low whatever side of the divide you're on. In these cases they should either name or say nothing. Saying a man in his 50s from the police is what motivates the poundshop detectives.
