As Sir Beer didn’t recognise Red Ange at the party (sorry business meeting at 10 pm when indoor handling of take outs of more than two people was against COVID rules ) was she wearing a hat or had he had even more Sir Beers than you today?

So a family of four couldn’t order a takeout in lockdown?

I think travelling a few hundred miles when the country was in lockdown, was against the spirit of the rules.

I don’t think Sir Beer is shagging Red Ange and I don’t think the other 28 people are related Tony

Watching you and O'Day drunkenly go toe-to-toe on incoherent spellings all afternoon while both pretending to be sober/working is a true privyledge.

Im hardly drunk. I haven’t had a beer or a curry.

I’m not working either - nor I assume are you - what does fascinate me about IRA Dave is his ability to know what I post when he has me on ignore

The reality is Starmer took the moral high ground and now looks utterly ridiculous- he can’t even recognise his own deputy leader in the same room - he’s on the special brew with his SBT spin doctor

The reality is the public will now see Starmer as a liar whatever the actual outcome - mud sticks

It’s laughable to suggest a take out curry with 30 people isn’t a breach - the real damning for the Labour Party is the bizarre denial Rayner attended - a blatant lie which there is no backtrack from

Johnson can’t and doesn’t take the high ground of morality. Starmer claims to be morally superior - sadly as he decided to bring issues in such people not being able to visit loved ones in hospital the same applies to him. He sniggers laughs, drinks beer has a Keema Nan with his chums while peoples loved ones died alone

He can’t have it both ways and the curry stain lives longer with the political hypocrites - it’s going to be hard to wash off

The giddiness

The information we have so far shows there was no breach, hence no FPN. I don't know why this is difficult for you to understand.

If there is new information that shows he broke the law, then fine him. I don't think there will be, this is just pressure from the Tories and right wing press.

If you don’t think mud sticks fine but answer one question

Why did he lie Rayner wasn’t there?

I don’t pretend to understand the rules completely but it’s been confirmed that we were under tier 2 during beergate (unlike the downing st parties which happened in complete lockdown) and I think that limited meetings with friends and family to 6 not work colleagues at the office. You’re also seeming to be suggesting that Labour managed to make £250 worth of Indian takeaway stretch to 28 people which you can only draw two conclusions from. Either Kier is Jesus or Boris’ claim that Labour are inefficient when it comes to budgets is another Boris fact, otherwise known as a lie.

Either way if Starmer gets a FPN he has to resign his leadership, same as Boris should.

Obviously. It’s really not as complicated as Boris, the cabinet and the majority right wing press are trying to make out. Boris broke the law so he should resign, if Starmer is found to have broken the law he should resign.

This.

Anyway, welcome an investigation as either he hasn't broken any laws, in which case Tories just prove their scum setting, or he has and he quits, and we see a difference in approach between what politicians should do, and what the man-child does.

Not really. Durham police have said they don’t take retrospective action haven’t they?

Bernard Castle wasn’t a breach then?

Using social media as a tool , it would suggest that the public think the right wing media and right wing MPs are wasting police time to play political football

"Durham’s former police chief has condemned attempts to get his former force to investigate Keir Starmer over allegations of Covid rule-breaking as “hypocritical” and “dangerous” and said there is no evidence the Labour leader flouted the law."

Of course he has. The problem any is I’m sure Durham police have said they won’t issue retrospective fines - with Bernard Castle they said they would have dealt with it at the time - so they can’t actually do much anyway but the point is if the Met adopted that approach Johnson wouldn’t have been fined either.

He’s dug a big hole and the fact he looks abs sounds very rattled will make it worse.

He should just fess up and say exactly how many were in the room

I’m genuinely surprised that people expect Starmer and Johnson* to resign based on the polices interpretation of two potential breaches. As far as I’m aware both gatherings were with work colleagues so as I say this comes down to polices interpretation of the rules and whether they have been broken. I’m not condoning either but resign ?!

If we lost the PM and leader of the opposition due to this, with the issues we as a country and the wider world are facing, I personally think it would be crazy

*talking only about ‘birthday’ FPN. As I’ve said before there might well be far clearer cut cases to consider and also the matter of potentially lying to parliament, both of which might justifiably lead to calls for resignation.

We love a liar but hate a hypocrite?

One openly f#c€s us over, makes and breaks rules and lies & blusters.
The other argues for a fairer society in a boring voice and makes a minor breach of the rules (allegedly) - has to go.

Then we will always be ruled by liars.
God help us all.
