All I'm saying is people have taken Reeves' comments saying she doesn't agree with Corbyn's antisemitism and NATO stance as 'I'M SO GLAD THE TORIES WON!!'. Which clearly is not what she's said.

No she wanted Boris Johnson to win the election

I assume you voted for the - according to you - the anti Semite mr Corbyn

One thing the past few years has surely shown is that it's pretty stupid the left being the main opposition to the left. Corbyn, Starmer, whoever (Ed Fucking Davey, Caroline Lucas) are all better than what we have!

Perhaps then, Starmer should have put q bit more effort in to his pledge to Unite the party, or not made it at all if he wasn't sincere about it.

Do these people not realise how ridiculous they are with this scorched earth rubbish? They will be monstered by the media in the next election, they're currently pulling sufficient rope from the reel to hang themselves

And of course Corbyn et al should have done similar... and so it goes on, while the Tories laugh and win.

No she didn't.

You can think Corbyn would be a bad prime minister AND still prefer him to win the election.

That's her thinking. It was my thinking too. Plus millions of others.

Starmer has an open goal now and he still can’t convert. He’s actually hopeless even Sophie Rainsworth can flatten him on a Sunday morning - he’s over sensitive, bland with no vision or actual beliefs - let’s be honest his more in common with Jeremy Hunt than Keir Hardy

I disagree,Corbyn was too accommodating. I think that's where he messed up, it fed into his poor brexit messaging and he kept snakes like Tom Watson around for too long.

I actually think Starmer did the right thing getting rid of the left of the party from his shadow cabinet when heslooking to go another way but that doesn't mean he couldn't have reached out to left wing party members/ voters.

I really want a reason to vote for him but I'm struggling.

And India

Talking of India, it was such a crucial visit he’s declining the opportunity to make a statement about his visit in the House of Commons. Which apparently is another first. A PM has never visited another state as a state visit and then not made statement in the commons upon their return.

Well that is not true is it? Of course there is a Labour Party and there is Tory Party. They might not be the ones any if us would choose, but they are the options we have.

I am just trying to understand why Fernando is saying he is not going to vote to try to defeat the current Government. I understand why you wouldn't given your political views but I don't understand why he wouldn't given what I believe his views to be.

i suspect because his ideology is a party that helps and assists working classes and creates equalisation

I certainly have no worries if a Starmer led government took office as he’s right of centre and I know income wise I’d ne unthreatened - I couldn’t care if he won tbh

Wouldn’t it actually be great if had Thatcher vs Rayner or McDonnell in a general election

Total conviction politicians compared to the circus performer and the Islington bore

God at least politics would be engaging

But presumably as a Tory you love to hear of left leaning people deciding not to vote against the Government?

That other party doesn't exactly make it an appealing choice. It's coming down to who Starmer isn't rather than who he is

But regardless of what you think about Starmer, if you think he isn't left leaning enough, or if you think Corbyn is better... Labour with Starmer is clearly preferable to the Tories.

So if the three choices are:

A) vote Tory
B) vote Labour
C) none of the above because you don't like Starmer/he's not Jeremy Corbyn, most likely resulting in a Tory government

Why would you choose C? That's just cutting your nose off to spite your face.
