I'm not sure how old you are Jeff, but in my opinion the right honourable member for Finchley and the right honourable member for Chingford in the early eighties represent an absolute nadir for this country.It’s safe to say it’s currently the worst PM, cabinet and government in my lifetime.

Burnham was one of the enablers of Corbyn too. Was one of the many who was bland, tired, uncharismatic in that leadership campaign. Thing is, Ed Milliband has improved his delivery no-end since standing down as leader, but there's no cry for *him* to be brought to the fore for any campaign. Surely Rayner can do anything Burnham would do?
