Not sure it was ever needed with Cummings in the background….he’s probably got plenty left in his locker

Ps ‘Operation save big dog’…surely not

There’s so many in the Tory Work Meeting Party that don’t like Johnson it could be anyone TBF.

I can totally believe Operation Save Big Dog, and that’s part of Johnson’s problem. Someone could tell me he was firing fireworks out of his arse on NYE 2020 and I’d believe it right now.

Sunak won’t let get the job he will be squeezed out when the day comes. There will be at least 8 contenders I’d imagine

(edit) apparently it’s a re-hash of a sun article from last June and it was a non story then too.

Yep, almost as weak as their "Lawyer makes money and buys animal loving sick mum a field to keep the donkeys she looks after in" gotcha

I’m hoping someone comes out of leftfield as the all of the main contenders are pretty uninspiring at best.

Can’t believe Truss is one of the favourites, which says a lot.

the left field choice would be Zawahi - can’t see members going for him - I would hope Hunt stands again - the problem as labour found is members rarely choose the best leader

Hunt would probably be the best out of the lot, and dare I say it, May.

You’d probably argue the two PMs with the old value of serving the public since the emergence of Blair and the X Factor commercialisation of the job are Brown and May

It didn’t go well

Anyone in the current cabinet is tainted the minute they started going out defending Boris and his “apology”.

Just because a bunch of entitled pricks who think they're above everyone else don't follow their own guidelines doesn't mean those guidelines were wrong. Johnson was so badly ill they nearly put him in a coma, yet despite that he still kept on doing this stuff.

Apart from the fact that they're pretty much entirely self-centred, so as long as it has no impact on them personally they're not bothered, like kids they think they're indestructible because they've never had any serious consequences to their actions. So they do incredibly stupid and risky things.

If they thought they were actually going to die they would have been the first in bunkers with a pure Oxygen feed.

They clearly weren't scared in the slightest, meanwhie they were trying to get the normal people as scared as possible.

They've never been in favour of lockdowns or any restrictions. Think back to when this started, Johnson was on TV talking about how we should let it pass through the population and no mitigations were put in place whatsoever. They did so little that even the FA and EFL were ahead of them, they said BCD before any restrictions were in place. How incompetent do you have to be for the FA and EFL to be ahead of you?

Every step of the way they've been way behind other countries in every way, locking down, masks, border controls etc. They've even stood up in parliament and made statements about not being able to catch it from people you know! They're bonkers so I'm not going to take the fact they were having constant parties as some sort of proof its a conspiracy theory and covid is actually nothing to worry about.

Hate May's politics, but isn't she the last former PM since... Callaghan(?) to stand for re-election as their constituency MP, after losing the top job?

Youre probably right it’s rarely the front runner. Who else do you think other than him and Truss? Maybe a dark horse Cameron style?

Hunt did fairly well last time out, and without Brexit as a staller, he could end up back in it. Javid also came across well last time (appreciate the competition was poor!) so you'd maybe expect him to have another pop?

Who have you got in your 8? Got to be honest I'm struggling to think of 8 suitable candidates but then lack of suitability doesn't seem much of a barrier to the job these days.

Never tried it. You probably want to go out and get fresh air instead.

You're so fucking weird, borderline obsessed with my posts.

Popping up randomly with shit attempts at digs and probably high fiving yourself thinking "that will show him".

Forgetting I've seen the way you do the same thing over the years
least have the bollocks to be straight rather than trying to get people like ROS worked up for you.

Like any leadership election, best to be in the middle of the pack, don't be the first one to dispose of el presidente, but you can't be inconspicuous either. Sunak by disappearing has already blown his chances.

With the Tories, at least you get a fantastic leadership race. It doesn't matter who wins as long as it goes the distance.

I think they all will. There's not one that stands out to be leadership material, which is probably the only thing that saving Johnson from being deposed at the moment.

Sunak will be desperately hoping Johnson holds on and its not the parties that sees him off as the first question he's sure to be asked is how the hell did you not know there was constant parties going on when you live next door and your office overlooks the garden.
