So when you got in a froth the other day over some Jack Straw comments from 20 years ago - did you read that in the media or did you know him personally?

When you cried your eyes out over Angela Rayner's vile scum comments - did you read that in the media or do you know her personally?

In reality Labour vote is higher, bit like Tories with the Brexit Party last time, a lot of Green votes will be squeezed to Labour when election time comes.

Of course she didn't have a party - she's livid about bringing cheese in. And frankly I don't want to hear about her opening her pork markets under the mistletoe.

Even if your expectations are pretty low this one is still shocking.

It's a known fact Johnson was sacked for making up a quote and was also sacked from the Tory front bench for having an affair with someone and lying about it,

Still what did Jack Straw say back in 1978?

She would be hilarious as PM.

I don't think she's as corrupt, morally or financially, as Johnson and would put in more effort. But she's pretty thick and would get torn alive by the press and Starmer.

Vile scum ?!

I agree that having a party was obviously wrong but if this was a group of young(ish) people that had been working together anyway and met after work*, I’m not got to hang them for it.

I say that as someone who was on their own last year and changed my Xmas plans but I did that as much through my own common sense about what was risky for higher risk family members rather than any rules.

Am I happy these parties happened, no, is the lying about them acceptable, not at all (and there should be repercussions) That type of language is well over the top though.

*if it was a massive group all travelling in for a big party I might change my view

Labour around here knock on your door to abuse you if you haven't voted for them, and the MP can't be arsed to reply to his constituents. They have a lot of work to do to get my vote back in this marginal seat

She's right isn't she.
Lord knows what we all do in the interim , not particularly due to emissions either.
Logistically the roads are f**ked.

Successive governments ignored investment in better public transport infrastructure after sucking motorists dry through road tax and fuel duty. It’s only been in recent years when Birmingham have put the metro through city centre and started connecting outer areas. It’s been painfully slow and very expensive but needs to happen if you’re encouraging people not to drive, especially short journeys. Rail network has needed improving for 20-30 years

I disagree - it’s people like Phillips and Streeting who think they are entitled and untouchable, and this empowers people of a similar ilk. Rayner has many faults but that’s not one of them.

This is the problem. She is completely right but if I got rid of my car, which spends an ever increasing amount of time sat on my drive, going pretty much anywhere would become a mission.

I can't just jump on a bus to places like the Ricoh or UHCW. I've got a bus once since I moved back here, was only a short trip to the station and I've not done it since as an Uber is cheaper.

Over the top?!

These pricks literally killed thousands of people with their incompetence
Then broke the very rules they set
While the rest of us followed them, meaning some people couldn't say goodbye to loved ones before they died
Then they laughed about it
Then they lied about it

And a few derogatory words on an Internet forum is over the top? Sorry Steve, I like you and your posts but that's ridiculous. No wonder they keep getting away with it if that's the reaction!

And yes it was a big group travelling in for a party. There were invites and awards and secret santa.

Steve, should we concern ourselves more with aggressive language that isn’t even profanity or things like ‘let the bodies pile high’, ‘Operation Last Gasp’ and so on coming from the PM?
