It's a shame because I'd really like to hear how a controversial comment from a Labour MP in 1994 justifies the Christmas parties.

Perhaps he'd like permanent paternity leave to look after his new arrival?

That paper has about 10 years of Princess Diana/Madeline McCann stories as back up for such events.

It is very much a click bait account, but they generally do post genuine news stories. It does annoy me how many people quote it though.

Yeah I’d agree with this. They have a habit of taking articles out of context and making click baity posts about them but that’s no worse than your average newspaper TBF.

He's right though isn't he? I mean if he could extend it to not consistently voting for more and more departmental budget cuts he'll do his bit

Yeah, it'd have been great if he could have thought of it earlier, really...

I'd assume at some stage something will come in for overseas vaccines... once they work out the detail. Whether that's quick enough for you, if you're only doing a Christmas visit, is another matter however...

Conveniently he is now taking some time away to spend with his family (doesn't say which one).

Couldn't be better timed for him.

There was a period where they refused to recognise the exact same vaccines administered in the EU.

Go to a chemist and say you work in an office nearby and you can pick up shit loads of lateral flow tests for free then just scan the barcode and enter negative online and you’ll get your pass.

It’s a shit one for people coming internationally but I don’t have any sympathy for people that just haven’t been vaccinated.

It’s pretty much neck and neck, but Lib Dems are now slight favourites with the bookies for the North Shropshire by-election next week.

That would be huge, it’s one of the safest Tory seats around.

Even if they don’t win but make it close it would be a huge shift and enough to really shit the Tories up.

Alternatively just order them online

Order COVID-19 rapid lateral flow tests

You can no longer order free PCR tests from the NHS.

Why would it shit them up? People are more likely to vote in protest in a by election but will revert to type when it might have an actual effect

Because it's one of the safest seats around.

By election or not, protest vote or not, it would be very significant and would show how much these recent scandals have cut through to the public.

It would be huge.

If they lose it would probably mean the end of Johnson.

It would go back to Tory in the next election - it’s no different to any other mid term protest.

It would probably be enough to get rid of the Prime Minister, I'd say that's pretty significant.

But it won’t? What’s the biggest by election swing in the last 30 years?

Remember when you said the public doesn't care about these sleaze scandals?

Ive just let you and the 6th form debaters have their fun

I hate to break this to you but Johnson’s current popularity ratings are massively above thatcher in mid term I’m sure she once plummeted to (80%) or so - and she won a thumping majority at the next election

You're very naive, the Tories are already showing that they're ready to dispose of Johnson. This by election won't influence the decision just provide a reason for the idiot media

Well it’s not even that

The Lib Dems are always the benefit of a bit of government dissatisfaction

no one who votes for them supports them or could name a single policy. Then come the general election they again have enough MPs to just about fill a phone box

If this is maintained or increased further I would expect 2 things:

Johnson out of a job sooner or later
Some media outlets to start to go after Starmer.

Her poll ratings plummeted in the mid 80s as well she throughout her tenure averaged negative ratings
