At least he seems genuinely upset.

To be honest did anyone really expect this to lead to anything new that the countries had any real intention of sticking to? It seems to be that the entire point of these things is not to do something but to be seen to be doing something. Words not action. A chance for these politicians to put themselves in the spotlight.

From before it started China and Russia said they weren't turning up and Australia pretty much only turned up because the queen criticised nations that weren't doing anything. Every nation was trying to water down some part of any agreement based on their own industries rather than actually making an impact and the world is full of leaders who only see economic growth as important. So with all that it should come as no surprise the entire thing was a washout. Possibly the last chance to save ourselves from an horrific future and the leaders of the world just turned around and went "nah, you're alright".

I don't feel disappointed at what's occurred because we've got exactly what I thought we'd get out of it.

I want to feel optimistic about the future generation doing something about it but it'll be 20 years before they're truly in a position to do anything. And in that time will they end up getting swallowed up by life and work like their parents and grandparents were, leaving those whose driving ambitions are purely economic and either don't care or understand what's going to happen in charge?

When it first started I think the cost was est. £30bn. On a different site I said it'd be more like £80bn, be at least a decade late and eventually only the London-Birmingham leg would be done because the project was all about improving link to London and they wanted to use BHX as a further extension of it's airport capacity.

So far I'm not looking too far off, though I think I've massively underestimated the final cost, even if Phase 2 and 3 are cancelled.

Isn’t JRM lucky that Owen Paterson’s wife committed suicide. He might have to look in the mirror otherwise. The way in which he and other MP’s have danced on that poor woman’s grave to exonerate their own behaviour and poor judgment is nothing short of disgusting. Shame on them.

Let’s be honest no one is influencing China. They were fat shaming Greta Thunburg the other day - no one is influencing Brazil or the rest of South America and no one is influencing India

They don’t want to destroy the planet or reduce their average life expectancy of their sons and daughters any more than we do. Everyone has a point of interest on this. I’m not necessarily saying Boris and alok are to blame just that jumping up and down changing we can do this to flashy music isn’t really what changes hearts and minds and wallets and gdp

your first sentence is absurd. China is a corrupt brutal regime that persecutes its civilians - especially “their daughters” on a daily basis. Brazil don’t believe climate change exists. Honestly that is an absurd position to take

The 1922 committee are revolting.

Just think. If he’d just have let it lie and Owen Patterson take his very lenient punishment like a man the shit wouldn’t be hitting the fan from all angles right now. Such an error of judgment. His biggest gaffe to date by far and that’s saying something.

I see the Daily Mail editor has just been cancelled because they want a more pro government editor if you can believe. Mind you he did run a couple of “negative” headlines last week over the Owen Patterson scandal. Sensitive lot these fascists. Snowflakes the lot of them.

To be fair he sounds like shit when I’ve heard him speak recently, reckon he’s had this dodgy post Covid cold kicking around (Ive had it, it’s awful). Struggle to sympathise on the authority point as some/many of the recent issues he’s brought upon himself

I have to minute return to work interviews when people have been off sick for a day with the shits.

But you wouldn’t think to minute a conference call discussing a £350m contract I s’pose…

Minister says she can't find minutes of Covid meeting with Randox

Labour accuses Gillian Keegan of a "ridiculous" attempt to avoid transparency over Covid contracts.

Hence me leaving out the word ‘convicted’ - however I’ll be sure to retract my statement once she has been proven innocent.
