Im not sure what your point is. Marty made a point that’s correct and exposes hypocrisy- this person is a criminal isn’t she and the left of the Labour Party staunchly defend her as a decent honest person with integrity who stands up for women. That’s what they said isn’t it?

Marty made a point (badly) that the people on this topic had buried the Claudia Webbe story which was bollocks.
Then you’ve weighed in with some irrelevant whataboutery crap that has no connection to anything that was discussed.
Speaking of hypocrisy - still waiting for you to demonstrate where you called out convicted sex offender Charlie Elphicke on this board…. Interests of balance and all that.

Labour calls for Claudia Webbe to resign after MP found guilty of harassment

Webbe sits in the Commons as an independent after being suspended by the Labour Party.

I assume if Mr Elphicke was a labour MP and the left gathered round to defend them in the same way they have the odious Ms Webbe you’d be opposed and yet you seem to have not condemned their defence of Ms Webbe. Do you agree with their staunch defence of the acid chucker?

The only people that gather round to defend sex offenders are the Tories (see also Jimmy Saville)
As for Miss Webbe - who threatened to chuck acid of you wish to be pedantic, her political persuasion is irrelevant. It’s only you (as usual) trying to gain mileage out of it as a distraction.
And for absolute clarity - of course she deserves to be sacked/expelled/charged - this kind of behaviour is not acceptable. She should not be able to hold a public office as a result.

with respect it’s you that’s distracting and not answering a question - do you think the character references are appropriate in a court of law from sitting MPs - I’ve asked 3 times - please answer

Why don’t you post the character references on here, we can all have a look and then debate from there.
Also, as you are no doubt aware - 4 MP’s gave character reference for the convicted sex offender Charlie Elphicke. Bob Stewart, Sir Robert Gale, Adam Holloway, Theresa Villiers as well as peer Lord Freud.

There were also a number of references for him from local Conservative Party councillors and members, business leaders from his local area. I’ve attached a link for your perusal.

EDIT: Silly me, how could I forget the character reference from Johnathon Aitken who himself was *checks notes* imprisoned for perverting the course of justice.

Labour also didn’t reinstate the whip like the Tories did with Elphicke only to have to withdraw it again when he was charged a year later.

Classic deflection and whataboutery.

The facts are he wasn't Labour. He was a Tory. Who reinstated the whip after having previously removed it when the allegations came to light. After having it removed again he was then convicted and imprisoned.

Do you support that move to reinstate him or do you think your beloved Tories did something heinous in allowing a sex offender back in and thus showing staunch support for him?

No he was just corrupt. So something actually relevant to his role as an MP instead of just being a mental girlfriend.

You realise they’ve u-turned right? You’re out on your own defending this shite at this point.

the facts are dumbo the Webbe case was raised first and Ian changed the subject

he was tried and convicted so that’s process

I vote Tory as it gives me the lifestyle that suits me and my family and a labour government would personally disadvantage me so actually if you really want the brutal truth I don’t give a flying fuck about him the acid chucker or anyone else

I care about me the people whose jobs rely on me and my immediate family. No one else

Usual question for anyone of this mindset:

If walking down the street one day you see a child hit by a car, a woman being assaulted or even an old dear struggling on some black ice would you ignore simply because they weren't family?

In those immediate incidents sympathy is required. Tories are quite good at sympathy so would probably assist.
What they lack is empathy as they don't have the emotional intelligence to discern suffering that doesn't have an obvious cause.
Just my opinion.

He would help the old dear off the ice and take credit for being a lovely man, a man of the people.

Then the lady gets home and realises her purse is missing.

Yes, exactly the same. As analogies go, that's up there with one of the worst I've seen on this forum.
