Most of the managers I worked for in the NHS (apart from two notable exceptions) should have been sacked anyway. Useless and nearly always promoted beyond their ability.
It takes a year to turn the pig production tap off according to one pig farmer on TV last week.I assume its simply a matter of cash......keeping pigs alive costs money.....killing & selling them makes money.
We’re also replacing the pigs we can’t butcher with imported butchered pork. So twice as many pigs will end up being slaughtered to fill the same food chain. Say what you want about Johnson but he knows how to play to his audience. His speech was streets ahead of Starmers.
While there was little substance in it, same could be said of Starmers, he gives people the soundbites they want. As we all know nobody, especially the media, has any interest in going past soundbites and pushing for any detail or checking the validity of the claims he throws about.

There's nothing to it but when he shouts 'get social care done' for some strange reason it plays well and people believe him. Doesn't matter that Javid has already let slip that getting social care done in reality means moving the responsibly onto family members, as if family members don't already care for their relatives and see moving them into a home as a last resort.
It plays well to the room and soundbites like 'get social care done' will make the news tonight and that is as deep as a lot of people will look.

We've been down this road but I don't get it. I wouldn't say my Dad is stupid (even if he is a lifelong Conservative voter!) but its like he's got a blindspot. I mentioned something Johnson had said in an interview last week to him and he just wouldn't believe it, so I found the interview on YouTube and played it to him and he still didn't believe Johnson had said it, he's literally on the TV saying it and my Dad is claiming its 'fake news' from the left to make him look bad!They continually insult the intelligence and work ethic of the population and yet still they get voted for. They have this unshakeable belief that someone can leave school at 16 with a handful of qualifications, go into a 9-5 job and off the back of that afford a nice house, car, holidays every year etc before retiring on a nice pension. Any deviation from that and its explained away by people being lazy or wanting handouts.
It's the ignorance and stupidity that gets me. How can voters feel that people like this are fit to govern us and will take sensible decisions which will be for the good of us and the country.
