Actually that applies in the other direction. You believe in conspiracy theories, that’s a fact, not an ad hominem. BBC not reporting them isn’t ‘misrepresentation’.

So if I have this right - your argument here is that the BBC is firmly on the side of misrepresentation, but forces out any senior executives who are seen to be actually doing it?

And no serious attempt to address underlying causes of inflation imo, I think the minimum wage should be increased but it shouldn't be the sole means to improve disposable income. The employer NI rise has just led to further price rises anyway.

The NI increase was an economically illiterate policy. People may have missed this, but Reform floated that policy for foreign workers and this was right (imo) derided as a dumb policy.

So what did this government do? Apply it to the whole workforce. Reeves has been a disaster and the fact she’s now playing the victim card based on her gender shows desperation. She’s been toast since crying in Parliament.

His line of ‘let the bodies pile high’ still makes me angry to be fair. I don’t care what the circumstances are, no Prime Minister of this country should be saying that and allowed to stay in the job.

Yes they may have been but the previous chancellor made that equation when he knew he was leaving office,so where should she have got it back from?

For me I'm not sure, I mean he's an absolute nutter so I don't think an edit was out of place, it emerged yesterday from somewhere that he may have actually suggested using violence somewhere else in his speech or somebody's interpretation of it.
Also never knew you could not pay it as it's for any device that is capable of receiving?

Nope..

TV Licence - GOV.UK

You need a TV Licence to watch or record programmes on a TV, computer or other device as they're broadcast, and to watch on-demand BBC programmes on iPlayer

As an example can't imagine there's many people on here who never listen to the CWR commentary. Think there's an under appreciation of just how much the BBC covers. Could very well end up being a case of don't know what you've got till it's gone.

It's not hard, alternatives will come into being to fill any void.
It is very easy with today's technology to provide an inexpensive service.

The "impartial" BBC are notoriously left leaning.

The fact they've had to splice together a video to make Trump appear that he's called for an attack on the Capitol, proves that. Why would they do that randomly?

More to the point, why has it taken so long to surface?

Notoriously left leaning, as evidenced how? Trump's speech was designed to incite violence on the Capitol, which is what happened.

You have your own idea of what 'the truth' is and think it's bias when coverage doesn't fit with that. That's all this is.

To add to the £100m bat tunnel for HS2, the £300m lower Thames Crossing planning costs and the fact that due to obstructive planning committees we had least number of houses built in a decade in ye March 25

This country is bogged down in so much bollocks that just isnt compatible with a one that’s swimming in debt with negligible growth.

Probably so, but that's a generalised viewpoint on the housing side I think Steve, the builders all of were not exactly with the Govt from Day 1, they were mocking Raynor's comments basically, feet in the mud approach,at least that's my impression?

Im aware that plenty are still getting bogged down with planning committees. Got a mate in the industry and he said at least at his local level (not midlands) nothing has changed ie committees sticking their noses in/delaying viable projects which eventually get through on appeal anyway….by then project costs increased (most smaller developments have expensive bridge financing before development) and might then be unviable so people pull/mothball projects. He said loads of trade/builder availability which is not a good sign

Not sure if this is replicated nationwide but now would be the time for government/local authorities to step in and build some social houses themselves !

It's a non story! 50 years ago things were said that wouldn't be acceptable now and rightly so. 50 years ago the population were served up programs like Death till us do part, Love thy neighbour, Rinsing damp, Mind your language and other programs full of racism or humiliating peoples differences, so hardly surprising kids on the school playground could be seen marching in animated fashion giving the Nazi salute and to mock other classmates for any differences and that could be for being tall or short, fat or thin, wearing of glasses and unfortunately colour of skin.
It was a very different world then so we shouldn't be judged on todays expectations with the morals of fifty years ago.

Erm, me and Farage are about the same age. This wasn't stuff he was saying when he was ten, it was in his late teens. So closer to forty years ago. Mid to late 1980s.

And yes, things were different then, but we didn't go around singing Hitler was right or telling Jewish kids that there weren't enough of them gassed.

I did a lot of things in my late teens that were stupid and thoughtless, but none of them included racist bullying. Even then, by the time we were 14/15 most of us knew that that that was shit behaviour.

People can change, of course, but when you look at some of the things that Farage is comfortable with, and some of the people that support his party, it makes you wonder.
