there will be a lot of people either not voting at all or voting for another party. important to remember that despite the landslide the number of votes for labour compared to previous elections was not a huge increase. The result was in part down to Conservative voters not turning out. If they return, and those who support Labour but lean left desert them, Starmer has a big problem.

He's never had a narrative, all of this stuff was foreseeable and foreseen in this thread a long time agoThink it’s fair to say that if the main takeaway from your keynote speech at the government’s party conference is all about how to tackle a rival party with a handful of MPs, then you’ve lost control of the narrative.
Except the thing he's grasping is a huge ball of lead. Trying to appeal to the likes of people that Farage is after is a monumental waste of time - they aren't going to vote for Starmer.
