What law has this government brought in to make this happen? Or is the already existing laws that are used and you want to just say "starmers UK".

Genuine question.

You must be the only starmer defender I know, what makes you like him and back him? It’s a serious question so try and avoid the swearing and ranting. I’m genuinely interested as to why you defend everything he does

The weirdest thing about starmer is .. is that he seems hell bent on doing everything that pisses people off ? Its a strange strategy that will set Labour back 20 years again with the electorate

Is this the Marxism shit people are peddling
He is as far from left wing as it’s possible to be for a Labour leader and he’s still described as a Marxist you can’t make the shit up

You do defend everything he does, start swearing and abusing people that then point it out

Didn’t see that bit but yeah that bit is bad, the fuck Hamas bit isn’t though as you know they are a terrorist organisation.

Very few little people? Makes sense that, don’t know that many little people tbh

Not an insult, just pointing out the facts. You hadn't actually found all the information before you dived in.

Now you know what he actually said do you still think it's ok.

Nah, they won't give a fuck come 2029 if the economy is seeming to get better.

People said Cameron was doing things that would will the Tories off for a generation and they still won they next few elections.

The average population has a limited political memory.

It will be an absolute miracle if they get voted in again the way things are currently going, even the most hardcore labour voter will probably agree

The public have been very much in favour of ID cards for years.

Not sure if it's a minority just making all the noise right now, but yeah general consensus has been UK public is in favour.

Because it's what you normally do, you misunderstand or don't read something and dive in.

The post where you called me a "starmer defender" was asking what laws the Starmer administration had brought in that led to that person being arrested. The answer by the way is none as it would be none as it is likely they acted under the Racial and Religious Hatred Act 2006 which as you can guess by the name is 19 years old and was implemented before Starmer was even an MP.

You can't just blame Starmer for everything.

Just to back that up:

Britons support ID cards, CCTV monitoring and fingerprint database | YouGov

Support for security measures has, however, dropped over the last five years
yougov.co.uk

Support for the introduction of a system of national identity cards in the UK

Would you support or oppose the introduction of a system of national identity cards in Britain?

Ipsos also back that up

57% of Britons support national ID card scheme, but have significant concerns over data security and implementation

Over half (57%) of Britons support the introduction of national ID cards, with support highest among Conservative voters and those over 55. Convenience and preventing illegal immigration most popular reasons for support, while concerns around data privacy drive opposition.
www.ipsos.com

With support over 50% in all age ages including surprisingly 16-35

TBF it isn't even laws that are the issue, it's the police interpretation of them. That law allows criticism of religion.

yep, does stop that being seemingly Starmers fault although I can why the police acted when you see the whole message and to be fair so does the guy himself as he is trying to pretend all he said was "fuck hamas".

No poll is ever massively reliable tbh regardless of the situation. I’m not even that arsed about this ID thing either, just think it’s pointless

No but when all the polls seem to be leaning in the same direction it is usually a good indication of opinion.

Yes I think this is it.

'We should introduce ID cards so we know what criminals and forrins are up to'
'Here you go then'
'I don't bloody want one, what an invasion of privacy!'
