Oddly the Tories seem to have had good success in Scotland defending their seats according to the exit polls.

Because outside of the central belt there’s a lot of socially conservative Scots who feel alienated by what the SNP’s turned into. NE Scotland especially.

The Tories are going to have to do some serious soul searching. Certainly on a seats count according to the exit poll the phoney culture war bullshit rabbit hole they went down is not an election winner. vote share you can only assume will confirm that too.

Lib Dem chap wearing a Sunderland shirt with a suit jacket, arguably the actual biggest offence committed by a politician in the last decade.

That Sunderland result is a boon for Reform. Was a good indicator in the Brexit vote

I bet even nanny didn't vote for them this time.

Though he does want 16+ votes as just his own children would cause a massive swing in his favour.

think the numbers will probably be more interesting to dig into than the seats in the coming days

some suggestion that the labour vote is pretty static and its just a case of people not turning out to vote for the Conservatives or switching to Reform

Labour could have put up some more inspiring people on BBC. So far it's been Mandleson and Streeting so far. People will be wondering if its too late to change their vote!

The sooner we implement PR the better. regardless of what you think of the Green party or even reform it can't be right a party can get a huge amount of the vote share but a fraction of the seats. As the Green leader said during the campaign only Belarus in Europe dont have PR and like the UK use the archaic first past the post system.

They are challenging very hard in Labour strongholds as well as Tory safe seats too. They could well be on the precipice of a major breakthrough in 2029 at the current rate.
