I'm not intelligent enough to go with James... but James doesn't ever put through people with educated opinions unless they agree with him

Seen something quite funny going on in America

They are, wait for it , buying up all the tickets for nigel farages tour dates and planning not to go in protest .

I'm sure nigels bank account is absolutely gutted .

I mean how stupid is that

It's like buying up every Nike trainer in protest against their operations just to not wear them

I could go on and chat his head off about football , I'd beat him on that

I'd talk about the box , and James wouldn't know anything about that in any regard , football or other

This is a little out of date. The new one is here.

Any other leader would be 20 points ahead.

Well he can't afford a train to London and I'm not coming to Willenhall to drink White Lightning under a bridge. So I'll probably pass.
Everyone else, no matter how much I've bickered with, I probably would share a drink with. On the understanding anyone who brings up politics gets a slap.

Long working hours are killing hundreds of thousands of people a year, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).
The first global study of its kind showed 745,000 people died in 2016 from stroke and heart disease due to long hours.

The research found that working 55 hours or more a week was associated with a 35% higher risk of stroke and a 17% higher risk of dying from heart disease, compared with a working week of 35 to 40 hours.

The study, conducted with the International Labour Organization (ILO), also showed almost three quarters of those that died as a result of working long hours were middle-aged or older men.

Even if not bullshit, isn't the point to ensure that the taxpayer doesn't have free riders? Is that problematic?

Your talking about kids here. What you gonna do with the kids that don’t have a passport? Put them in a separate room to be taught?

All of this information the school should already have. And even if you did need to check it you don’t say that kids have to bring in passports. Do you think that’s OK?

No, unfortunately schools often don't have this information, and a project between DfE, HMRC and DWP attempting to link children to people of known status proved impossible. If true, it would be a check on immigrant status post Brexit. Now, there may be all sorts of avenues a govt might go down after that and which would invite some very intense debate, but there are consequences for not monitoring borders.

And please don't now accredit to me with any actions that a government might or might not do as a result of the checks.

I’m not accrediting you at all - I’m asking your opinion. The suggestion of performing checks in this manner is not acceptable.

So what happens if it turns out that there's a kid in the school would shouldn't be in the country. Is the teacher expected to shop them to the home office and get them deported?

Funny that you had a go at people for accusing others of 'missing the point' too much on here.

Once again, you miss the point.

That story is disgusting.

I'd imagine they'd simply have to note a nil return. That or perhaps set up a safe house,

This gave me the overwhelming urge to nip out to the shops to buy a flake ice cream 4 pack.

Just come back - no ice cream at all due to a freezer breakdown.
