From memory we took 1 point from our last 7 games. And missed the play-offs by 6 points.

We were 4th in March. Then came Smith, Trollope, Carbonari et al.

Awful run of form summed up by a pitch invader arguing with Nilsson at PNE.

Headman had a go at trying to stop him if I remember correctly with just an outstretched arm and the stewards were very slow to respond.

I was there & remember the chubby fella running into the Pen area towards Hedman full of beery bravado which sort of evaporated as he got close enough to realise that Hedman was about 6'3" & 14 stone of sober prime conditioned athlete and chubby pitch invader ......err...wasn't.

Someone on here (maybe Last Garrison or FernandoPartridge) knows the bloke I believe...

This has made me laugh, suprised we don't get more pitch invaders telling the players a few home truths these days, with some of the abject performances we have to pay to watch

Would love to be messing up a Championship play off chase right now that's for sure. As someone has already said the current 'stars' could do with a bollocking from a pitch invader. The manager too for sticking up for them.

Nope, he should've gone earlier. His stubbornness to carry on playing bell-end-my got us relegated. He's been a shit club manager as proven when he started the rot at saints and nearly took Middleborough down. Celtic is different as you just can't fail there.

Well all the the ones posting on here seem to think that SP was happy to sell our best players and get the money to replace them with shit.

So did he have a say in it?

Personally I think not.

I thought Robinson (having become the chairman) summed it up best on CWR when interviewed and said that we sacked the wrong guy. We got rid of the manager when we should have lost the chairman. I heard a rumour that Richardson allegedly might have been doing deals for players that the rest of the board (and possibly the manager) had no idea about. Didn't WGS when asked about the Hondurans we were signing have no idea as this was the first he'd heard of them? I'm not defending him as I do remember some decisions he took as manager that were appalling. Who would people have picked as manager if he'd gone earlier? Our other lovely Swedish club member Roland N or someone else?

Heard the same rumours. Seem to remember Strachan saying he only mentioned to the chairman that he liked the look of Big Mo, next thing he knew he was there as a signed up player at Ryton!!

I've never stopped blaming Gormless Strachan for getting us relegated and then pissing off and leaving the club! He's a c**t and always will be in my eyes! Hate the man with a passion! I've lost count of the times I've nearly kicked my TV screen in every time he appears on it!

Do you Regret Calling for Gordon Strachan's Head

I called for his head once. His mum said it was out playing down the park.

Was watching the BT Sport coverage of the Hearts v Rangers game today and WGS was in cahoots with Terry Butcher regarding their tenures in charge of the mighty Sky Blues.

Both sniggered away at being Coventry managers. Never minded the Ginger t**t until today.

Strachan never did us any favours - glad to see the back of him.

I remember another example of his stubborness. Home to Middlesborough, it's 0-0 and Magnus Hedman gets a knock and can hardly walk. Everyone can see it except GS. But he wouldnt bring on the sub keeper (can't remember who it was that day). Then Dean Gordon has a speculative shot from outside the box and Magnus can only watch it go past him. Would have been a routine save for a fit keeper. And that was another defeat.

Fairly sure a young Chris Kirkland was on the bench that day. We lost 2-1. Hedman couldn't even take kicks

Strachan had no choice, Kirkland could not go on, he suffered from nerves terribly at the start of his career and it all got a bit too much for him.

I like Gordan Strachan. He's done well and his interviews are funny but he did take us down whichever way you look at it.

Strachan's trouble appears to me to be that he doesn't spend wisely. That's led to a pretty poor show at club level...I don't think Celtic can count before anyone suggests it...even I could lead them to 1st or 2nd in the SPL.
