Do we need a long-throw specialist? (1 Viewer)

I just watched a women's college football game where one team had a girl who could deliver the ball from a throw-in right into the penalty area. Every time she did this, it was like a corner kick, the entire opposition retreated and stood guard in the penalty area. Those throws caused havoc and panic in the opposition defence, and one goal was scored from the resulting melee after one throw.
Having a long-throw specialist is a tremendous weapon. I'm surprised every team does not have one. Surely it can't be that hard to test all the players to see who can throw the farthest and coach them to mamximize their distance. It's a skill like any other that can be learned and practiced.
