In line with the current trend of offering players new contracts that are not considered good enough to get into a relegation bound team do we expect Deegs to be offered a new contract soon.

The club are waiting for him to have another 6 bad games before they offer him an extension.

With SISU in charge it wouldnt surprise me. In his defence, I wouldnt be against him getting a contract as I think he can be good in this peague. However consdering this has been his longest run in our team without getting iniured (hope ive not jinxed him) i havent been as impressed with him as i would have thought i would.

I believe he has played those 6 games since he has been here and I can confirm he has been in utter shite in all those games.

Pitball my ass......

In fairness to Deegan he is still a rookie in this league or even English football to be honest, whether he is up to speed is open to debate and playing in a struggling team won't help. needs a bit of time IMO. Still it's another player to slag which makes a change from David Bell getting it in the neck all the time.

Even at 45 he'll still be quicker than Gary Deegan.

Bit hard on Deegan - poor on Saturday but give him a chance, not played enough games to fully judge.

I'd let him see his contract out, his injury record since being here is dreadful.

He seems to be permanently injured like McPake who was offered a contract extension, or he has more poor games than good ones like Bell & Baker.

Not slagging him off for the sake of it but that display yesterday would be out of place in the Blue Square Premier. Our standards have been lowered so much that we can't call rubbish when we see it.

Using AT's logic ..... as he injured himself playing for CCFC he deserves a new contract

Agreed

Think I tweeked my old knee problem as I going up the steps yesterday as I was desperately trying to get into my seat when nearly late for kick off

Now awaiting phone call for a deserved contract after 44 years of service

He is a very poor player. The self-styled pitbull but his challenges are more like a poodle. No way should he be offered a new deal.
