There are unconfirmed rumours that a benefactor has expressed an interest in buying David McGoldrick for Coventry City.
The striker, who has six months left on his loan at Nottingham Forest, has put himself in the shop window, during his time at the Ricoh Arena scoring seventeen goals in all competitions.
A number of Championship clubs including Leeds United, Barnsley, Millwall as well has Dutch side FC Twente have been linked with McGoldrick.
However, Regulation 48 of the Football League Regulations would make any third party buying of McGoldrick for the Sky Blues difficult but not impossible
Apparently benefactors offered to fund the wages of a couple of loanees at the back end of last season to help in our survival attempt. This was strangely rejected by our owners or was it just Mr Fisher or Mr Waggott, whoever pulls the fuckin' strings here
