I take your point, but I'm just not sure how the conversation would go.

Flip the coin over for a minute-what does it possibly say if they do not want to sign one?

To protect the inheritance route, get the wills of whoever is leaving you the money changed to be left either in trust for the children, with you as trustee, or a brother/sister if you have them and if not, I’ll happily volunteer and then gift you it back minus the usual fee. After the divorce, get the will changed back.
on pensions, you’re fucked really on that, minimise the amounts now, hide it away and then you can put it in after the divorce or if she gets a percentage of the final amount, put it all in ISA’s, no tax advantage going in like a pension but no tax withdrawing in the future but saves the percentage to her.

It's just a shame that, that's oxygen that could be utilised by a normal human being isn't it.

Not read the thread in detail.

But if you haven't had legal advice, then get it and keep it if possible. I know of a bloke who gave his ex 72% of his 1.5 million pension pot. He is on a modest income. He was too caught up in the emotional angst that he had no resolve to seek legal advice. He is retiring at 65 now. She is retiring at 57 sitting pretty and bragging about how stupid he was in not getting legal advice.

more to it of course. Her legal advice cost £5k plus.

That not very nice is it? I could say some very nasty things about you and your marriage, or would that damage your mental health?

And my mental health has been damaged beyond all possible repair, so go knock yourself out.

My ex wife solicitor sent me a letter received on the eve of me marrying the now Mrs Covkid1968… for maximum distress of course!!

Been divorced for years and left her most of our joint assets at the time…. She now wants half my pension pot!! Utterly needless and downright mean/ evil.

You’re just a hypocrite really. You insulted me before when I was Warthog, unprovoked and have continued it now despite me never saying anything to you. I interacted sensibly with you as Boosh about football and we had decent discussions. You have decided to turn for no reason, I thought you were better than that.

I only wind up the people on here that have insulted me first. I had felt sorry for you given your circumstances and left you alone when you picked on me previously but if you wish to continue to pick on me maybe I won’t.

So hard to keep up with who you are at any given point. Do you even know yourself?

A mate of mine went home late one evening. No missus in the house, but a note stuck to the fridge door.
It just said "This is not working. Goodbye."
He opened the fridge, the light came on and he just shrugged his shoulders and thought, "Yes it is. What's she banging on about?"
