The most important thing for me is not how much we have to spend, it’s who’s spending it.

recruitment has been absolutely shite, proper dof needed before the summer at the latest

I think you'll find it's the 'Elizabeth Truss school of taking advice from Kwasi Kwarteng' I believe?

The last player in the squad genuinely above mid-table level based on long term form.

Ah yes, but a certain narrative has to be pushed. They can slag him off before he's even signed that way.

Give the guy a chance, firstly he's got to sign for us and secondly he's got to be unsuccessful before we have to infer that an agreement had already been signed off in advance by Robins.

The abuse you were posting about Haji a year or so ago was an absolute disgrace, and now you're giving it the double sad face at the prospect of him being sold.

1 in 1 one out is sorted to be confirmed very very early on in the window. No names yet but will of course get them before the window

Lampard wants 4 in. Dougs been told by Lampard loans are a necessity this window so expect at least 2 of the 4 to be loans

Going off this is go:

Loam LB and RW, sign CB and CM.

Deals are often spread out though if not wrong, similarly we won’t have paid all the funds for Simms for example yet.

Unless your saying they haven’t made any payments yet?

We’ll get 2 if we’re extremely lucky, not a chance we’ll get 4 in

Don’t think any clubs has signed 4 players in January before

Just going off what Saddle says. I agree four would surprise me too. You don’t tend to get much in Jan of any quality.

Don’t necessarily blame the owner for adopting a self sufficient model

But it fucks me off so much that 18 months ago we sold a player for a fee we will probably never get again and this sorry lot is what we have to show for it

It’s frustrating. On an individual level I don’t really have a problem with any of the signings bar Kitching (only due to the fee) but as a collective it’s been pretty turgid squad building exercise.

Some people would vote for a turd though if it had a red rosette on it. Come to think of it a turd would probably be a better option.
Anyway lets get back to talking about our great signing

Didnt do them much good though and look where they are now.
The January window is either clubs letting dross go or holding others to ransom for a player they dont want to lose.

Didn't we do it in our play off season?

Maguire, BNC, JWE and McNally?

Two of which were vital to our play off push.
