Diego Maradona has labelled Fifa executives "dinosaurs" and believes their "arrogance" is damaging the game.
Football's governing body has been in crisis in recent weeks amid claims of corruption and match fixing, and Fifa's credibility was further hit as Sepp Blatter stood unopposed to be re-elected as president.
Maradona, who was in Dubai to sign a two-year contract to coach Al Wasl, feels Fifa has been badly run for years and attacked Wednesday's re-election of Blatter, a man "who has never kicked a football".
"When you have so much power you can do so many stupid things, as is happening in Fifa," said the Argentinian legend.
Museum
Maradona feels it was "no surprise" that Blatter was re-elected for a fourth four-year term, saying the 75-year-old Swiss and the other executives will cling to power as long as possible.
"Unfortunately in Fifa, we have a museum, a big museum," he said.
Blatter was left as the only candidate after rival Mohamed bin Hammam withdrew amid bribery allegations involving the 2018 and 2022 World Cup bids.
Fifa then announced on Saturday that it was investigating Argentina's 4-1 friendly loss in Nigeria on Wednesday after suspicious betting patterns.
And although Maradona feels Blatter and other Fifa executives like Argentina's Julio Grondona should resign, the 50-year-old great doubts it would ever happen.
