No. Never made a deadline. Just said "we can't wait forever" and "let's get home for Christmas"

Given up believing any of them about anything.
Expect no Ricoh ever again; no CCFC by March; anyone that can kick a ball to be sold in January; SP to go manage West Brom; Santa to fall off his sleigh leaving the house. You're only ever likely to be pleased to some degree then!

The loss of the JR appeal, scuppered that-- no new tenant would feel confident in taking out a lease until that is resolved.

Fortunately for you, I don't!

None of that says deadline "put in place a process", what does that even mean?

Quote.
Coun Lucas, while not clarifying if the stadium was for sale, said last week she would meet any party willing to discuss the “long term future” of the club and stadium, adding, “Let’s bring the club home for Christmas.”

Was it not ACL that issued the Christmas or time to move on deadline?- *Someone else can research that please?

It's about time Lucas and her council cronies did the people of Coventry a favour and sold the Ricoh to put an end to this pathetic saga.
It would put much needed funds into council services and return the club to its true home.
It really is that simple or am I missing something here.:thinking about:

Haven't SISU offered to purchase subject to an independent valuation?

I don't think so.. Labovich suggested the council and SISU would both get valuations in the early stages of agreeing a sale.. I don't think any 'offer' was made..

This is what gets me. They may as well just ask the price & say "Yes - it's a deal...we'll buy it". We all know they'll wriggle out of paying before handing the cash over.

We won't be back at the Ricoh any time soon ... and only when SISU have left and sold up would it really be likely. They appear to have no business sense whatsoever, the last offer made was as good as it gets, so to still say no kind of makes you feel that they are cutting their noses off to spite their face ?

I, for one, am looking forward to the new sports franchise they've promised us. I wonder who it's going to be?

Yes, you're missing that SISU don't want to pay any money for it. Also it's a very short term fix - we'd still be stuck with SISU.

He said they don't want to, not that they won't. Same as when I don't want to pay for any dances in Club Heat, but somehow the persuasiveness of those tricky females leads to money being exchanged. Maybe these ladies should be invited to broker a deal between the Council and SISU.

I don't think CCC/ACL will bring in a franchise but I do see other things infringing on the football season.
Things like concerts are restricted to out of season at the moment but they could now take place in spring and autumn.
Rugby finals, internationals, American football, U21 could be just slotted in without consideration for a football club.

Not ideal situation if you still want the club back, but if you owned the stadium what would you do ?

Also if CCC/Higgs did sell the stadium it would never be owned by the club so in reality ownership does not affect the fans.
Rent would still be set by the owners be it CCC/ACL or Sisu.

Unless they're going to knock the stadium part down 'moving on' isn't really too much of an issue is it? They may stop maintaining the pitch and may book other things that would impact of availabilty for use on matchdays (as they already have with the gaming thing) but surely if the stadium is still standing a return is possible. How long would it take for a quick clean up and to drop in a pitch? I know the league rules say you have to have first shout at dates but surely the league would make an exception if it meant returning to Coventry at some point in the future, they seem to have ignored most other rules in this mess.

Moving on is more likley to mean they will stop using their time chasing SISU and offering deals. If SISU want to come back it will be up to them to come to the council and / or ACL with an offer. Can't blame them really, why keep chasing when every offer gets dismissed out of hand.

If they move on, would the groundsman fella lose his job or would he just work at Higgs? Shame as he was great at what he did at the Ricoh!

This 'process' is could well be a sale, who knows (shrugs shoulders)?

Rest is here

July sounds about right for Wasps, but sometimes they are out in May if the weather is nice.
